“Great distraction from Disney! A fun afternoon out.”
Reviewed November 1, 2013 via mobile

Not a full day - but get there early so you have enough time to enjoy it all - there is tons to see and do!
A very friendly place - with a real family run feel to it. Take done swimming costumes for the kids so they can cool down in the water park. Make sure you see all of the shows, they were all excellent!
$100 for 2 kids and 2 adults.

“***Real Review*** Great park but an Alligator bit the handler. (8.2/10)”
Reviewed October 30, 2013

We arrived early and booked the zipline (with a coupon we found on the internet, look it up). The service was from start to finish exceptionally good, they really are very polite and friendly.

This is a must, it was not as scary as go ape in London, but then you are zip lining over 100s of aligators. What really made the experience so good was the two guys that guided us. Josh and Nick from the beginning were really friendly and funny. They had a great friendship and just had us laughing the whole time. At one point Nick screamed "wait no!" just as he had released one of the boys on the zipline. This was horrifying and hilarious at the same time. At the end I tipped them both 10 dollars as they had earned it.

After the zipline we ate and I tried the aligator bites. They were actually very nice! Give them a try.

The rest of the park had some shows and there were stands to buy hotdogs to throw to the gators. The bird aviary was amazing, for 1$ you buy a stick with seeds on it and the little birds instantly flock to your legs arms head everything.

*Accident at the show*

The gator wrestling show was uncomfortable. The young lad that was doing the show was obviously new. He was fantastic on the mic but you could tell he wasn't fully okay with handling the gators. He was sweating a lot and looked very nervous, it took him over 5 mins just to get one onto the stage area as he wasn't strong enough. I had a feeling something bad was going to happen so I did what any tourist would do, I started filming. Towards the end of the show he tried to turn the aligator over and started screaming down the mic (this was not part of the show) he managed to get his hand out of its mouth and looked terrified. He quickly escaped off the stage whilst the other man on the mic tried to distract the audience. He went from looking Mexican to very pale. I hope he was okay. I think the scream down the mic was fear more than pain but it was loud and shocking to hear.

Great park, but i'm not sure it's 100% safe for the trainers. This is not the first time someone has been bitten so why don't the handlers wear some gloves.

This park is really good despite what happend. The kid that got bitten was fantastic on the mic so once he's more experienced with the gators I think he will do well.

“Nightshine and ziplines were fantastic!”
Reviewed October 30, 2013

Booked the nightshine and ziplines online. No problems with email tickets. Went into Gatorland during the day where the guys doing the shows are very entertaining. Great interaction for the kids with the animals and great photo opportunities.

Zip lines were great! Party of 6 in total ages from 7 to 55 and we all managed fine (I don't like heights). The only dodgy bit was the bridge from tower 3 to 2....not goot for heights but you can miss this bit out if you have to. Lots of photos taken and given on a disc.

Nightshine...I think the best thing we did in two weeks holiday! The guy was fantasic, entertaining and knowledgable. Kept my wee lad amused brilliantly (and us!). MUCH better than in the park during the day. Not sure if we were just lucky but there were only us on the tour and we felt like royalty being in the park with a private guide at night. Got special access to many animals and had a great evening.

All in all a really good day/evening out and would recommend to anyone looking for a family activity day.

“Very Nice To Visit”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

My family and I just returned from several days in Orlando. One of the less busy days we decided to go to Gatorland. The tickets were included in the travel package we got. We have been to Orlando many times but never went to Gatorland. We spent several hours there and really enjoyed our visit. The first thing I noticed (and I am 68) was it was very clean. You get to see and learn a lot about Alligators and many other animals that are native to Florida. There were shows, a train ride, food and shade for those that weren't used to the 90% temps we experienced. The workers were funny and very helpful with any questions that you may have. We had a very enjoyable 4 hours there and we would love to visit again in the future.

“My boys loved it”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

Boys age 9,7,5 thought it was cool. Nice to have some hands on opportunities for kids. Bring extra cash because there is 'food' to buy to feed the animals everywhere. We were there on a Friday and it was nice to be away from the crowds at the big parks. Favorites were gator feeding (although the very lengthy comedy routine that goes with it gets old), gator wrestling, and bird feeding. Let your kids wear their swimsuits to cool off in the splash pad. There is no air conditioning anywhere and it was hot!
