Wow - where do you start with such a great place. I'd read the reviews and thought it was too good to be true so i took my wife and son there to see for myself. Right from start the staff were friendly helpful and informative. They offered us the Alligator feeding experience ($10 per person). Its not to be missed as you get about 6 feet from the real thing - you don't get that in the UK ! We were given a park map by the lady on the admissions desk whilst she made jokes with my 7 year old boy and then showed us into the park. From the start your senses are overloaded with pools of Alligators ! Once you draw yourself away from the entrance there is plenty to keep you busy. 3 shows - Jumping alligators, wresting alligators and a mystery animal show repeated twice a day lasting about 15 - 20 minutes is a good way to begin the day.
After that visit the small bird house where a dollar buys you a food stick and you will not be disappointed with the results. There is a White Alligator area, swamp walk, water play area and the ZIP wire area which navigates around the park. Even if its raining you wont get too wet as much is under cover, except the swamp walks, zip wire and feeding areas.
We spent 5 hours there and it was worth every cent. I spoke to Bridgette, the manageress, on the way out promised to give a good review - well here it is - it really is worth the 4500 mile trip to Orlando and well worth a visit to Gatorland - we will go back.
