“Great time even for native Floridians”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

The historical park is never a dull experience. Even native Floridians are left in awe of the magnitude of the size and amount of gators on this property. The kids LOVED the bird exhibit where you can feed them for $1. The white alligators are very cool and unique...a rarity. A nice change from the other theme parks.

“Go later afternoon its half price!”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

Really enjoyed our few hours here. Lots to see and do. They have an excellent splash play area for the young kids and there is lots to do, too much really for the few hours we had. The staff are excellent and its not all Gators too, there is a petting zoo, parrots, exotic birds and a walk through the swamp!

“Its still there”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Its much bigger than in the 0s when we used to cut school and hang out there. Yep, Orlando was rockin in the 60s. They still have the alligator jumperoo but unfortunately Bonecrusher died, probably of 40 years of boredom.

If you want someplace to spend time with the children, or just like looking at reptiles, it is a nice distraction without the crowds of Disneyworld. There is also a very nice alligator habitat/swamp where you can sit and pretend that you are in Florida before it was developed.

“A place to slow down and enjoy the surroundings”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

this is our second time here. I loved the nature walks and the "critters". the white Leucistic alligators were cool. not pink eyes like an albino, but blue! very cool. we enjoyed the birds and their squabbling for tidbits of food everywhere. it was relaxing with the benches everywhere and we took many opportunities to just sit quietly and observe. thereare some huge crocs here and it puts in perspective some of the beautiful creations this planet has. you can feed the reptiles, including tortoises which were fed cantaloupe an skewers by children who enjoyed it immensely. I'll be back especially after the whirlwind Disney parks.

“Gotta Love Gatorland!”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

This was my family's fourth time back to Gatorland in Orlando. My oldest daughter is 15 and she was 4 when we first visited this park. She got just as big a thrill this time as she did when she was four. They just keep doing it right. The price is right, especially compared to other attractions in Orlando. They have soooo many alligators. Big Gators, little Gators, Albino Gators, Gators jumping up to grab food, Gator wrestling. You can hold the gators, feed the gators. You get the point. The staff is very friendly and the place is kept up great for a place that was opened in 1949. The other animals they have are just as cool. Tortoises, Salt Water Crocs, Nile Crocs, Black Caymans, Native Florids Snakes, Parrots, the Budgie cage where we were covered in little birds eating out of our hands. The native birds that come and congregate there are cool too. Herons, cranes, vultures, etc. There was this one type of small brown bird that would catch the bird food in mid air, real acrobats.

All in all, we enjoyed this visit to Gatorland immensely. We would not miss coming here when we are in Orlando. Great fun!
