Went during Halloween 2012 and it was a great experience. The setup of the park was fantastic and really set a good mood. Not all the attractions were open due to the Halloween events but the few regular rides we went on were great.

The haunted experiences however were really good and should be on everyone's lists. It probably was a lot more fun because you're allowed to walk around and drink so that was new for us.

I would definitely recommend a Halloween evening out to Universal Studios Florida. A little bit pricey based on the time spent there at night but still worth it. We also paid extra for the fast lane because the lineups are huge and without it we would only have seen perhaps 2 attractions instead of 5.

Did both parks in one day for the first time and we were able to do everything we really wanted to do. The Harry Potter attractions are great !!! You can only take the Hogwarts Express Train between the two parks with a park hopper ticket which is more money, but it's worth the cost. The train ride is quick but a different experience than most rides. Make a dinner reservation in City Walk if you want to eat when the park closes, otherwise you'll be waiting 45-90 minutes.

We had a much anticipated trip to universal in Orlando to visit their Harry Potter areas. They did not disappoint. The details were amazing and everywhere. From the wand shop, to the performers, to the food and butter beer. We couldn't get enough of it. Well done!
They clearly had some 'experts' on staff to get so much of it so brilliantly done. We spent 2 out of three days fully immersed in Harry Potter. Best 2 days.

Only negative was that it would have been great if the park employees were more attentive and proactive overall. Especially in attractions where there were long lines. Otherwise, a lovely park for all ages.

I have reviewed islands of adventure elsewhere, but we bought a 2 park 1 day pass, plus front of line, dining package and drinks package. Not a cheap combo!
Spent the whole day between the 2 parks including a trip on the hogwarts express.
It has been a long time since we were here, and previously with children. On our own, we went at our own pace without bring dragged all over, and saw most of what we wanted to see in the time available. Although this is a great time of the year to travel, temperature was very nice and the park wasn't crowded, we still thought the front of line passes were needed to avoid the 20 minute average waiting times - cumulatively we would not have had the time to get round it - and even at that, we still didn't do all we wanted.
Harry Potter and all the related stuff was outstanding, and a must see. We had breakfast in this area, and actually, the black pudding and sausages were really good!! They must have spent a fortune creating this facility, and it was really fabulous, and that from someone who was no fan of the hp movies.
Good points:
Everything
Bad points:
Nothing really worth mentioning.
Would I go back?
Despite the hefty entrance fees, absolutely!
