“Generally a great theme park but...”

I don't like the fact that you can pay to upgrade to express ticket and so beat the queues. Everybody has paid the same to enter in the first place and I really hated waiting while those who had money to spare could basically push in front. That was my only gripe though as the rest of the visit was great and I loved the attractions with the despicable me ride being a favourite.

“I mean if you wanna go broke, sure why not?!”

well. This is 2013, so the prices of any sort of entertainment are bound to be high as a skyscraper. But it is worth it. Most of the time. So if you're matured and really are over the age of a teenager, just go to Islands of Adventure. If you go to the regular theme park of Universal you will die of not only boredom, but a terrible heat stroke. YAY. The hulk roller coaster was just amazing. You're gonna want to go on it again. But skip out until the END of the night when there's very few lines. The zip rock it or whatever the music rollercoaster was called fun! Could be better but yeah! The mummy doesn't seem thaaaat great, but trust me! You're in for a great surprise. Loved it! But hate the line, of course. THE HARRY POTTER RIDE IS A MUST. YOU HAVE NOT TRULY LIVED UNLESS YOU GET YOUR BUTT ON IT. also. The food at the castle thing in Harry potter's world was just awesome. Don't miss out on it! DON'T! the dueling dragons rollercoaster was eh. Cool, but not the best. Dr Suess is another well designed theme at the park. Get you're film ready to take over 1383626624 pictures.

“Fun park!”

Love Krustyland, MIB, Rip Ride Rockit. Lots of good shows too. Fun park as it wasn't too crowded. Lots for adults to do.

“Hit and Miss depending on your ride preferences”
Reviewed April 29, 2013

We spent one day at Universal Studios and for the most part really enjoyed it. The express ride pass is an absolute must here, and you will still probably do some waiting. There are some really great rides, like Despicable Me, The Mummy, and the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit coaster. E.T. may be a little low-tech for today's world, but it was fun and a blast-from-the-past for some up us who grew up in the 80s. There are also some really crappy rides, like Shrek 4D, The Simpsons and Disaster. Disaster was downright appalling! Please, please do not waste your time on that one. It was hot and smelly and you're packed in with all sorts of people like cattle.

There is lots of fun stuff for kids and adults here, including lots of characters to take pics with (we snagged a pic with Scooby and Shaggy), carnival games, and an I Love Lucy memorabilia collection. There was also a fun parade with Minions, the Hop bunny and Dora. We even saw the Blues Brothers and the Bluesmobile!

We had unlimited lunch/dinner passes and chose to eat at the Monster Cafe twice. It was the best food we had at Universal Studios or Universal Islands of Adventure. Very nice staff there as well.

Our only real complaint was the park was scheduled to close at 6 pm for the day for a "corporate event", but then they closed off an entire section of the park at 5 pm for an additional event. We didn't get to the Twister ride, which is one we really wanted to do.

Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and all agree that it was worth a visit.
