“Ok for free”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

We went here for the second time as we got free tickets with our Discovery Cove tickets. We only went for the morning as it seems to get particularly hot at this park. There are few places to shelter from the heat. Make sure that you sit under cover when watching any of the shows (unless you want to get wet) - you may need to get to the show a bit early as the seats in the shade higher up fill up first. We enjoyed the new Penguin Antarctica ride - we arrived early and didn't have to queue for very long. It consists of a short ride in a circular boat with a few bits of video footage of a penguins then you get out very close to the penguins and walk around. You can choose wild or mild - wild did not look particularly wild even to me but I didn't like the wait in a small closed environment before getting on to the boat due to claustrophobia. Penguins were lovely to watch. The Pirate show is looking very dated now although the mime beforehand is very funny.

“A welcome change of pace”
Reviewed August 27, 2013 via mobile

Florida. The holiday of a lifetime. This is true, but after almost 2 weeks of Disney, Universal et al, theme park fatigue begins to take hold and everything begins to merge in to one big blur, and you forget which park had which rides and attractions.

Up steps Seaworld. It's a completely different experience, and a change of pace. It's not as loud or as brash as the Disney or Universal parks. Yet it still manages to throw some thrill rides into the mix; manta is the best ride in Florida bar none, and Kraken isn't too bad either. My only criticism of the thrill rides is that Seaworld hasn't got them organised as slick as Disney or Universal. Although wait times weren't bad on the day of our visit, organisation was terrible with half-empty carriages and a general lack of control by ride staff. Tip for Seaworld - send your staff to Disney for the day and have them show you how it's done!!

But where Seaworld really excels is on the shows and exhibitions. The turtle trek was amazing, the Antarctica ride was awesome and the kids loved feeding the sharks, manta rays and dolphins. And of course we got soaked at the shamu show.

Food and refreshments is another area where Seaworld beats the other parks hands down. It's more about pastas and seafood than burgers, fries and hotdogs here. We ate in the shark underwater grill restaurant, in one of the priority seats directly in front of the aquarium windows with huge sharks swimming past. The food was excellent, although really expensive - but compare it to other theme restaurants that we have experienced on our trip (rainforest cafe, T-Rex) and we enjoyed it a whole lot more.

Seaworld surprised me. I expected it to be a half day "filler", but we actually stayed right through til closing time, and could have stayed a few hours more. We didn't catch all of the shows, so will probably need a second day to catch the things we missed. A thoroughly enjoyable day.

“Greaat place”

I could note have gotten enough of this place. It was a great place to go. If this was the only thing that you could afford it would be worth it.

“Nice day out”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

We paid $15 to park the car. Meals are very expensive in The Spice Mill burgers without any salad.
We watched the Shamu show no Shamu and it was only for 20mins. We have seen this before a few times not as good as before.
You only have to wait about 20-30 mins on average for rides.
