We loved Aquatica because it is compact and there was plenty to do. The rides were all all very good although HooRoo Run is a bit boring once you have done it once. Four hours would be enough for most people to enjoy the park. It rained when we were there and although we were already wet most locals seemed to take this as the signal to leave so we had the park to ourselves for about thirty minutes. We lost our son on the Rapids as he missed the exit and I had to go back in to get him but other than that it was a great day out. It was also in walking distance of our hotel which was also good as it saved us parking.

Loved the large kid slash play area. We sat in that area for over 3 hours playing like a kid dumping water on strangers, having a large water fight and cooling off. The downside the "racers" were not open they closed them down for repair. Which I understand however they should have informed people of this. The only reason I did not complain at spending full price admission and not getting every thing they had to offer was simply because the lines were less then a 5 min wait and the splash zone area made up for it.

This park is great fun. Loads of different rides to keep you entertained for hours and a nice chance from wandering round the standard theme parks.

Some words of warning- avoid the buffet at all costs. Slabs of greasy pizza, chicken soaked in fat and rank ice cream. Upgrade your meal experience by eating a handful of the sand from the beach.

We just got back from Orlando where we chose to visit Aquatica for the first time. We were pleased with the overall park --clean, lots of activities for everyone - even our daughter who is in a wheelchair. All the paths were handicap accessible and some activities. We especially enjoyed the lazy river and the rapids. The water playground was amazing and fun for everyone of all ages. The only negatives were the cabanas and the food. The cabanas consisted of a shady area with old 80's lounge chair (with the plastic slats), water, and towels --- no food or service. I guess it is okay if you wanted to do nothing all day. Next, the food was really bad cafeteria food and way over priced. The boys got a kid's chicken nugget meal with fruit for $6.99 and only got 4 chicken nuggets. The burgers ranged from $10-$13 and sat in some juice. We left hungry but still had a great time.

Not much to say about the park I only stayed a couple hours, we sent on our last day just to see the dolphin plunge and the fish grotto as they looked amazing in the brochure. How could we miss that?

So we got there, and found a lounger. Alot of them were dirty and the sand wasn't too clean. Of course I'm comparing it to the luxury of Discovery Cove so wasn't a big issue.

We them headed for the dolphin plunge. The actual plunge is about two metres of shallow clear tubing which, when you are on the fast-moving chute gives you no chance to see any dolphin. You're better going to the viewing window instead of wasting your time in the queue.

We also tried the bowl style slide. As we watched it looked great until guests hit the bowl. Every guest got stuck and had to push themselves down into the hole for the next chute.

The fish grotto was the most surprising. I expected gorgeous blue water in an underwater tunnel full of brightly coloured fish. It was actually a large fish tank on the side of a rock with murky grey water and crammed with fish. I was so disappointed.

I think that my excitement was low that day due to almost everything else being absolutely brilliant. This was definitely underwhelming.
