A bit on the rustic side, lots of room, inside and outside seating and good seafood. This is a good place to chow down on everything from fried catfish to crablegs. Reasonalbe prices, friendly and helpful staff and the food keep this one on my must list when in the area.

The food is terrific, and so are the people. The owners support local charities in a big way (I know of Safe Animal Shelter and the American Cancer Society specifically) which is always appreciated. Bartender, EVERYONE, is pleasant and helpful. Thank you, Whitey's!

We ate at Whitey's on a Friday night and when we pulled into the full parking lot we expected to wait for at least an hour but to our surprise there is lots of space and waited less than 10 minutes. We had a party of 6 and received great service. We ordered the fried pickles and calamari for appetizers, both were great! I had the fried shrimp and was satisfied! Great atmosphere to boot!

Fun place, especially sitting outside in good weather. Nice, casual, waterfront setting, prices reasonable, service good and usually fast. Food is typically fried but other options available. Has good grits which is unusual. I usually get shrimp, oysters, or scallops. They have other fish and meat options.

Has a bar kind of area where you can also eat or a restaurant area.

Not the place you take your wife for your anniversary. It is a great place for a relaxed lunch or dinner.

We heard about Whitey's the minute we moved to the area, so it was one of the first places I wanted to check out. Went on a night that had a live band playing, hung out on the deck with family and friends. We had older teenagers with us, but they weren't out of place. Ordered a number of appetizers to share. The food was good. It's a fish camp, not a gourmet restaurant, but the atmosphere was very relaxed and jovial and the band was great - that makes for a great evening out in my book. Will be happy to patronize this place again.
