“Average food. Friendly staff. Score 3.5”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2013 via mobile

Was expecting a little more from the food. Cars are always in the parking lot so decided to give this little diner a try. The interior had business cards painted on the walls which gave it some charm. The rest needs to be freshened up. A bit out dated which gave it a feel that it could be cleaner. The best part was the staff. They all were very friendly and accomadating. The food was hot, served in a timely mannor, and priced fairly. The food was average. Not the best... not the worst. Possibly will go back on some rainy afternoon and give it another try.

“Disappointed”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2013

We spent the morning at Blue Springs Park checking out the Manatees with the grandchildren. We were looking for a place to get a decent meal that would please the grandkids and us. On our way to the park we spotted this restaurant with a ton of cars parked outside. It looked like a great place the locals love to go to. Well...they can have it. The place was "quaint" looks like it's been around for a long time. That can be a GOOD thing. I think Gram's herself got us our drinks. The menu was extensive, many choices for the little ones, and for us. Some of us had breakfast, some of us had lunch. The food took a LONG time to get to us. My granddaughter's mac & cheese was hot and steamy (wish it was cooler for the 18 month old granddaughter). My food was all cold -the fish sandwich, the sweet potato fries had definitely sat around somewhere for a bit of time before coming to my table. My husband's food was ok - eggs, hash browns. The sausage patties were cold and dried out...he had to ask for the toast that was part of the order. Some of our food obviously was done before the rest of the order and sat in the kitchen waiting for all of it to be brought out together. POOR timing. We will not be back.

“Breakfast is good dinner not so much”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2013

I have always had a good breakfast there, even though the coffee is less than wonderful. I decided to try dinner one night late while in the process of moving from Orange City to Leesburg. Big mistake dinner is not good not many choices and the food was less than tolerable!

“Where the locals eat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2013

Traveling through Orange City FL we came across Grams Kitchen at lunchtime and decided to give it a try. The place seems to be popular with the locals and was fairly busy. An old fashioned restaurant right on Valusia Ave serving breakfast all day and a variety of food. Wine and beer, too. The service was a tad slow but it was lunchtime and there were quite a few customers. Our food was fine and the portions were substantial. My Fries were just warm, not hot, but other than that we all said our sandwiches were fresh and tasty. The cold plate had more food than one person could eat. A better choice, IMHO, than the fast food places just down the road and reasonably priced. Decor was just fair but value was good.

“You can't go wrong”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2013

We have been to all 3 Gram's Kitchen's, in truth mostly for breakfast. The portions should satisfy most appetites and the coffee is free flowing. As with many a local place, you don't go for the decor, but then again, as long as it's clean, belly up and order.
