“Very interesting!”

We have taken several friends who are visiting to see the manatees. They also have a very interesting boat ride that you can enjoy here. They take the time to really let you see the wildlife. It is so worth the money. We even go there just as a couple to enjoy the afternoon.

“Quiet and relaxing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2013

ooReally enjoyed spending time at this state park. We were there mid week so there were not many people around. Lots of pavilions, grills, and picnic tables. Kayaks and canoes for rental and river boat tour on site. Too cool out to swim but would be nice on a hot summer day. Were told that manatees can be viewed during winter months but not the right season for our visit. Will return again in January or February to see manatees.

“Blue Springs Adventure!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2013

Blue springs is an amazing sight for everyone! I recommend bringing loved ones or children ages 5+ I say this not to be rude, but the water is very cold, and nobody would like a fussy child ruining the adventure. Its very calm, desolate, and shockingly clean! I recommend you NOT going during a holiday due to the fact that it does get quite crowded. I understand if the only time you can make it is during a holiday, so if you go during that time, You should probably camp out in the area or stay over-night in one of the log cabins, or maybe just go to an on-site hotel. letting you know, you should bring: TOWEL, BUG SPRAY, WATER SHOES, LONG SCUBA SHIRT, TUBES(if you dont want to pay the price), SCUBA GOGGLES ( you can rent them their too). The current does push you a little bit so youll have to kick. Being the age that I am I don't have these problems. Don't make this sound like a big to-do. Its very easy and worth it! Amazing sights, fish, manatees, and alligators.

“Relaxing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2013

This park has a nice selection of campsites. Easy access to main park area where Blue spring is located. There is also a nice two hour tour down the St. Johns River. Canoe and kayak rentals and a Segway tour. While we were there we spotted many manatees swimming up towards the blue Springs, this area will be closed to swimming in November to allow manatees a safe harbor during winter. Still, it will be a nice area to visit during winter months. There is a gift shop and plenty of picnic areas and nice boardwalk along the waterway.

“First Camping adventure”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2013

We arrived at Blue Spring on Saturday around 11:45 am. The park was not packed but there were a decent amount of people there. We first went to the springs to swim; it was super cold but we expected that. We floated down the spring on our tubes and then came back around and to do it again but this time we saw manatee!! They were so cute; that was a very nice experience. After that we headed to our campsite to set up our tent and start our camp fire. At our site we had electrical outlets and running water. We were walking distance to the showers and restrooms which were clean and had hot water. There is also a fire ring there for camp fires and it has a medium size grill on it. We used it to cook hot dogs and chicken of course after covering it with foil, later we used the the fire ring for smore's. There is alittle shop that is walking distance that you can buy ice and other items at. Each campsite is sectioned off by bushes and trees but stil close enough to each other that you can hear their music. The only bad thing is there is a train that's near by and it runs in the middle of the night I think we heard it about 5 times that night so it was a little hard to sleep. The next day we went fishing in a canoe and kayaking that was a nice and relaxing. Other than that we had a blast!!!!
