“Take the boat tour...”
Reviewed April 1, 2014

I heard some couples debating whether to take the boat tour or just walk the boardwalk. One decided to make the last tour of the day, and the other decided against it. $22 adult. Worth every penny. You will see quite a bit of wildlife. Gators, birds of all kinds, fish, turtles and deer. There is also bear in the park. I was surprised we did not see any snakes! The narrator is very good, answers all questions, makes the right jokes, and keeps the boat going at a slow speed. If they spot wildlife, he stops the boat and backs up for everyone to take pictures. Very informative.

Boat has a marine bathroom, and water/pop and snacks for sale. The boat is covered. Seats are pretty comfortable. 3 adults to a seat. They will fill that boat to capacity!

Highly recommend.

“Great Viewing of Florida Wildlife”
Reviewed March 1, 2014

I have taken this cruise 2 years in a row and enjoyed it both times. It is a great opportunity to see Florida wildlife in their natural habitat. The cruise is 2 hours long. The morning cruise is less crowded. The afternoon cruise is busy and I would recommend advanced reservations for this one. The warmer the temperature with sunshine the more likely you are to see alligators sunning on the shoreline. The narrator is very knowledgeable and knows where the best viewing is for the birds. Always interesting.

“fun day on the st. johns river”
Reviewed February 11, 2014

my family and I recently took the two hour tour on the st. johns river. the captain was very knowledgable and took us up close to the shore so we could see all the wildlife and get great photos. we saw all types of birds, alligators, and manatees. cost was $22.00 with a discount for seniors. they sell water, soda, and chips on the boat that seats 30 people. they rent canoes, kayaks for self guided trips. the captain made sure everyone saw everything and often backed up so more people could see every bird, plant or animal. ride was smooth and easily accessible for handicapped. before or after the cruise you can walk around the park and see manatees swimming in the beautiful setting. cost to park is $6.00 and it is a tour that all members of the family will enjoy plus learn about the eco system. a real treat and a break from amusement parks. it shows you the real florida. a must see.

“Adds an extra dimension to your visit to Blue Spring State Park”
Reviewed January 31, 2014

Each time we have camped at Blue Spring State Park we have taken this boat cruise. There is always so much to see and the captain goes out of his way to get up "close and personal" with the bird life and alligators. Because this trip was on a cloudy cold day, we did not see many alligators but were rewarded with sightings of four bald eagles, belted kingfishers, a pair of sandhill cranes, an osprey, a couple of limpkins and hordes of Great Blue Herons and Little Blue Herons. A great outing for birders.
