What a nice experience and right in our own backyard. Have passed by Daddy's for years and didn't give it a second glance. However, on Labor Day we were looking for breakfast and didn't want Cracker Barrel. As we were headed to another establishment, we passed Daddy's and their sign Breakfast Special $4.99 caught my eye.
A quick u-turn and there we were. Not a fancy establishment and filled with "regulars" of a certain age but the service was attentive, the food was ample and very good and the prices are reasonable to obviously cater to the regular clientele "of certain age."
We were not disappointed and although the place could use a decor update, it is what it is and it is the food and service that count so we will try it for dinner. The breakfast menu is standard, the dinner menu is limited and appears to be safe choices - nothing fancy. I'm sure keeping it simple, keeps the kitchen focused on doing a few things and doing them well.
