“Hungry after a bass tournament”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

A few friends and I were in a bass tournament that was staged nearby, hunger and tired we went here for dinner. The service was slow and they were out of a lot of things on the menu and funny you couldn't even order a plain hot dog! In a pinch, it would do, but not the best around the area.

“Central Florida at its finest”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

If only for the view, it's worth the trip. But, the food is great and many fresh that day. The variety of food is surprising. There is friendly service inside the rustic restaurant or outside on the covered porch (they don't forget you when you are outside on the porch!). Located in Okee-Tantie, the restaurant gives a great view of the Kissimmee River. There are also hiking trails, boating , and camping. Lightsey's also has a lot to look at on its walls, counters, and fish tanks to keep kids interested while your having one of their great appetizers.

“Very relaxing!”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

Went for a drive to get Florida Sweet corn on the south side of the lake. Picked it up in Clewiston, then drove around the lake and came across this place. Night outside breezeway to eat at. Nice cool breeze. No one there at 2pm on a Sunday so took our time eating Catfish Fillets and Crab/Shrimp dip with fresh baked tortilla chips. Very good and very relaxing. Nice drive this time of year. Snow birds gone so locals rule.

I was told that this place was great for fish. Went for lunch and it was overrated especially for the drive there being about 40 miles away.Nothing great just average.

“Great for seafood”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Lightsey's is located at the mouth of the Kissimmee River on Lake Okeechobee and has both inside and outside dining. The food is excellent and we really enjoyed the fried wild shrimp. They give you a very generous portion along with fries hush puppies and a very tasty cole slaw. They also have a fresh seafood market where you may purchase your choice of seafood. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys seafood.
