Description: Thank you for visiting Harry's Seafood Bar & Grille! A distinctively different menu, the food of Harry's Seafood Bar and Grille captures the essence of a city not only known worldwide as the birthplace of Jazz but also the birthplace of a unique style of cooking. We've taken the best of Cajun, Creole and Southern flavors infused with a current day twist to create some of our most popular dishes like Shrimp and Scallop Orleans, Grilled Chicken Baton Rouge, Crab Crusted Blackened Red Fish, Bourbon Street Salmon and French Quarter Beef Tenderloin to name a few.

“Dominant New Orleans Menu”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2013

Name of this restaurant is deceiving. While they have seafood items on the menu, it is more of a New Orleans style restaurant. The atmosphere is friendly and energetic with good service. There's a two for one drink special nightly during happy hour. We had the mussels for an appetizer which were spicy and delicious. Two ordered ribeye steaks and two ordered the crab cakes. The three crab cakes were satisfactory, but there were no pieces of lump crab in them. The steaks were of poor quality and were chewy. The two desserts ordered; chocolate bread pudding and keylime pie were flavorful and a good. Recommend this restaurant if you are looking for New Orleans style food but stay away from the steak!

“Unpleasantly Surprised”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 9, 2013

We always use tripadvisor to pick hotels and restaurants, so when we saw the ratings on Harry's, we were very comfortable planning to go there. We ordered fried green tomatoes, mussels, and the jambalaya. The jambalaya was the signature dish. Honestly, we were concerned when the tomatoes came. They were very, very hard. (the actual tomatoes). We are from coastal NC, and spend a lot of time in SC and GA, so we know good fried tomatoes. We were disappointed, but not discouraged. When our entrees came, we were really surprised. The mussels were in a sauce that was thick, oily and tasted like the base was ketchup and were overcooked. The jambalaya had been way over seasoned, maybe with cumin or tumeric, had a huge amount of rice, not much sausage or seafood. It was packed, and it appeared to have a lot of locals, so maybe it was just an off night for the cook, or maybe we have strange tastes.

“Great date night”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 27, 2013

Nice atmosphere, pleasant staff and great food. The wine was nice, seafood cook to perfection and not a long wait. Food had a nice kick to it. We'll definitley be back to try other menu items.

“Enjoyable dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

We called ahead to "reserve" a table for 4, knowing there still might be a wait. We were offered a large table that sat 6, which was fine with us.

I ordered the jambalaya. I could eat about 25% of it, it was so large. My son ordered a shrimp Po Boy, which he said was great. It was huge. Our waiter was fabulous. I think his name was Jeff. He was helpful and very prompt with drink refills and bread. When my son wondered softly if they had bananas foster (it was more of a thought than a question), the waiter actually heard him and quickly said, "yes, we do!".

“Pleasantly surprised”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2013 via mobile

We decided to have lunch at this restaurant simply because it was the only one open at lunch time on a Sunday. I was skeptical about it when I walked in as I am not a fan of dark restaurants but the food soon made me forget about the ambiance. I tried three of their side dishes and they were all phenomenal; smashed potatoes, beans and rice and the seasoned rice. The mahi was good not great. They also serve bread with garlic butter which is very tasty. Our server was very polite and efficient. Overall a great experience.
