The House of Japan has excellent choices for sushi, as well as many different Japanese dish choices for non-sushi eaters. As long as you don't order dessert.
My husband and I were celebrating there and initially ordered mochi ice cream, of which they were out of stock. Instead we ordered Bananas Foster for dessert. We received a bowl of melted ice cream, a banana cut in half, and several red beans floating in the non-ice cream. Our waiter informed us that Bananas Foster is melted ice cream. We, naturally, sent it back and instead got green tea ice cream.
We were still charged for the Bananas Foster and had to ask them to take the charge off and instead charge us for the less expensive ice cream. They did remove the dessert entirely.
