We've been coming to Allora for about three years, and it is one of our favorite places when we want a tasty, reasonably-priced pizza or meal. The food is consistently good (although the garlic rolls push greatness - ask them to pour a little extra garlic butter over them and dip).
Allora is located in a strip mall off South Anchorage at US 1. The mall is dark at night, and the restaurant is a little hard to see from US 1. From the outside, it looks like a pizza carryout, but they have 10-12 tables in the back for dining in.
We love their arugula pizza with mozzarella, tomatoes, pesto, and arugula. We'll frequently order that and split a very fresh and crisp salad. Other times we'll go for one of the pasta dinners which range from about $13-$16, all of which come with garlic rolls and a choice of soup or salad.
This is not gourmet, just good, wholesome, basic Italian.
