Description: The Frigate bird is legendary to sport fishermen and it’s presence is an indicator to a bountiful catch, good times and success. After a long day, sea wary sportsmen return to their favorite speakeasy to enjoy refreshing beverages, great food, music and laughter while recounting their days adventure. Many of these speakeasies became legendary in their own right. Frigate’s Waterfront Bar & Grill is one of those gathering places, located on the water in beautiful North Palm Beach.Nestled beneath tropical palms, balmy breeze and island music. You can come by land or come by sea and watch your favorite sporting event on one of our 22 Flat Screen TV’s, including the massive 80 inches High Definition TV at the Tiki Bar just feet away from the seawall. Enjoy our tropical bistro featuring fresh seafood, steakhouse favorites and the best drinks and libations anywhere around, delivered by our friendly knowledgeable staff.

My husband and I stopped here for a late lunch. We were surprised how they made a restaurant so close to busy Route 1 so tropical and pleasant. It's not a very scenic water view but with the plantings and tropical atmosphere and music it was breezy and enjoyable. You can pull small boats up to their docks but I wouldn't try bringing your yacht!
I had one of the specials, a grouper sandwich which was done very nicely. Moist and cooked to perfection. My husband loves conch and had the conch appetizer which he found to be tender but a little salty. The tropical drinks were a little pricey at $9.00 per cocktail (they don't put the prices on the menu).
All in all we will go back, the food was good, the wait staff was so-so, they could have been a little more attentive.

Enjoyed an outstanding brunch on Sunday. Great food, great atmosphere, good service, reasonable price. Even had live steel drum music! This was our first visit, but I highly recommend the Sunday brunch for a relaxing way to start the day! We'll be back.

Located just north of Northlake Blvd on the east side of US 1, Frigates offers a great venue for casual indoor/outdoor dining overlooking one of the canals that leads to the intracoastal waterway.
This is a great place to wind down after work and while the beer/wine and liquor selection is what you would expect, the food was pretty good.
We shared an order of the calamari which was crisp, sweet and the dipping sauce was very tasty. I had the mahi mahi fish tacos which were delicious. All four of our entrees were very good and our waitress was attentive and casual yet professional....We would definitely return.
