“Great new place!!”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

This place was awesome!! The food was perfect, the decor and ambiance was great, most of all the service was superb. I was very impressed with the decor! Above and beyond what I expected. I will definitely return! I ordered the scallops and they were one of the best I ever had. I highly recommend!

“New restaurant has promise but also has some kinks to be worked out”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

I (with four others) dined at Fish Fish after it had been opened about a month. This restaurant has promise but still has some kinks to be worked out. Reservations were readily honored, even with a postponement; no delay in seating. Decor is pleasant, but the incessant percussion sounds require conversing in above normal voices. I did not find the half ladderback chairs to be comfortable.

The staff, from manager to bus boy, all were very pleasant; even so, servers could use more training. E.g., our server readily acknowledged my request for pepper but failed to deliver. The table was not properly set, and it took an inordinate amount of time to be served bread and butter.

Food-wise the calamari was terrific; on the other hand, the clam chowder was too thick and bland, though the clams were really tender. The stone crabs and the half lobster dishes deserved high marks, but the baked gouper was only so-so. It was served with a very tasty sauce, however. Perhaps the best dish, which four of our group had, was the mushroom risotto --- truly outstanding. The wine list is limited, but the moderately priced pino grigio we ordered was well received. None of us ordered dessert but perhaps will do so upon a return visit.

“Not Good at all”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

Did not have a good experience and won't be going back. Overpriced. Went after work with friends and none of us had a good experience. Good luck to everyone else.

“Great addition to neighborhood.”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

Noticed the sign from Biscayne Blvd and decided to check it out. The minute you walk in the door the decor and atmosphere makes you want to stay awhile.
Larry the host is a bundle of joy with a very soothing and genuine demeanor that welcomes you to this much needed sea food market and restaurant in North Miami.
Our server Johnaton was very attentive and knowledgeable with all aspects of the menu, this was a nice touch to the evening and much appreciated.
The menu was a little complicated at first but John explained and assisted. All items are freshly made and the lobster in the tanks up front is definitely a nice touch.
We started with the clam chowder and the conch chowder soups which were both very good; however the portions were a bit to large knowing what was coming up........... The crab claws with the Garlic lemon spinach and the Saffron Risotto sides were outstanding. A bit disappointed that the creme brûlée was not available but the Molton lava chocolate cake made up for it.
Rebecca, the owner, stopped by our table to check on us, she's a wonderful person with a positive aura that will make this place a success.
We cannot wait to make it back.....
