Finally a restaurant that serves classic French food, unapologetically. Confit de Canard with potatoes in duck fat! One of the the best of the best classic dishes. Puff pastry, sweetbreads, French Onion soup that's unparalleled in Miami. Don't go there and complain. There are too many disappointing French bistros in Miami and Bal Harbour (you know who you are) that try to cater to who knows what. Not this one.

Petit Rouge sticks to the classics rarely discovered even when visiting France, and does so deliciously. I'm a big fan. It's a little noisy if you sit next to some loud patrons, but otherwise quaint, and sophisticated. Very attentive service on every occasion.

I'm so glad we found this place. The food and service were both very good. The classic onion soup was delicious, as was the filet mignon. Our server recommended a delicious bottle of wine. The atmosphere is french bistro, very cozy, so I forgot we were in a small shopping center. There is outdoor seating but that consists of 2 small tables on a sidewalk in front. The restaurant is very small, so reservations are recommended. We look forward to going back.

Having heard the buzz about this restaurant for awhile now, we decided to give it a try since we planned to be in the neighborhood. We were so glad we did! Whether it was the standard bistro fare, such as confit of duck and onion soup, or a more exotic seared tuna on potatos with olive tapenade, everything was exquisite. Far better than any other French bistro in Miami, many of which are more expensive. As others have pointed out, the restaurant is tiny, so reservations are a must. Bon Appetit!

This is a small restaurant, located in a unassuming strip shopping mall, on busy Biscayne Blvd.
When you walk in, you feel at home, and the staff is very attentive.
The menu is on the French side. They always have a few interesting specials. The Roast chicken is the best I have ever had anywhere. I order it every time I go there, in spite of the fact that there are aways specials that sound so good!
The wine is priced reasonably, and you can taste it before you decide.
The dessert menu is wonderful ,and the coffee is delicious.
You must call for reservations. I promise you will never be disappointed.

Delightful and very French, from the 8 tables to the subltle, but very French decor, this restarurant is a hidden gem in North Miami. The bistro favorites are always on the menu (escargots, onion soup, salads, etc...), but there are specials every night featuring local sea food and produce, not to mention what can be found that day. The wine list is very complete; there is something for everyone here. Not to be missed! There are two tables outside,so the outside dining is tiny.
