Finally a restaurant that serves classic French food, unapologetically. Confit de Canard with potatoes in duck fat! One of the the best of the best classic dishes. Puff pastry, sweetbreads, French Onion soup that's unparalleled in Miami. Don't go there and complain. There are too many disappointing French bistros in Miami and Bal Harbour (you know who you are) that try to cater to who knows what. Not this one.
Petit Rouge sticks to the classics rarely discovered even when visiting France, and does so deliciously. I'm a big fan. It's a little noisy if you sit next to some loud patrons, but otherwise quaint, and sophisticated. Very attentive service on every occasion.
