Delightful and very French, from the 8 tables to the subltle, but very French decor, this restarurant is a hidden gem in North Miami. The bistro favorites are always on the menu (escargots, onion soup, salads, etc...), but there are specials every night featuring local sea food and produce, not to mention what can be found that day. The wine list is very complete; there is something for everyone here. Not to be missed! There are two tables outside,so the outside dining is tiny.

Last night, we dined at Petit Rouge. As always, the service was outstanding. My error came from choosing one of the specials, a veal tenderloin. The dish- although nicely plated- was drowned in a watery mushroom gravy and turned into a washed-out chunk of meat. Clearly, the chef was over his head, and should stick with the modest choices on the menu he has mastered, like the trout and sweetbreads. He might want to give up his love affair with over-capering certain dishes.

Small, wonderful French bistro in the neighborhood... One of the very few places that actually serve foie gras and ris de veau. An excellent "pizza" and good selection of main dishes. Good service, nice wine list, and good value. Go!

This is a proper French bistro, don't let the location fool you. We were impressed by the menu. There were five of us, so we ordered a variety of items including soup, salad, appetizers, as well as desserts. The food was of good quality and well presented. Oh, and the portions were not French!

I would go back in a heartbeat!
