“Might Have Been (no, this was) the Best Surprise Meal on the Island”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2014

Waited until one of the last nights on Captiva to try this little gem on what is looks like a strip mall of t-shirt and little restaurants. Went with a group of 8 (2 families) and were seated right away after the sun had set. The place was load, because the Margaritas were flowing. I'd like to think that the pitcher of Margaritas had nothing to do with the tremendous food experience, but I must be truthful, I'm sure it helped. We went to this restaurant with some California Mexican food snobs and thought we'd be asking for trouble, but even they left the restaurant amazed at how good the food was. Starting with some of the freshest salsa and chips, on through the shrimp tacos, combo fajitas, and tacos, everything was splendidly cooked, fresh and in ample supply. Wish we had found this place earlier.

“Too loud inside, but smoky outside; food pretty good though”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2014 via mobile

Stopped here around 6pm to put our name in, lots of tables available, so left and returned at 6:45 with the whole family. Hostess remembered me and seated our party of 6 immediately inside. Decor was fun, decorated $1 bills all over, but very loud inside. Our 4 yo didn't tolerate the noise well, ended up having to finish her dinner outside while seated on our golf cart. Waiter noticed me carrying our crying daughter toward the door and offered a scoop of ice cream to appease her, which I thought was very sweet, considering all the other crying kids and noisy drunk adults.
Food was quite good, although ate in a rush to get away from the noise. By the time we left around 7:45, there were a lot of people waiting around outside for tables.
18% tip was added automatically for our party of 6 (3 adults, 3 kids ).
If I went back, I would sit outside and risk not being around a smoker rather than suffering with the noise.

“Great food & service..”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2014

Such a friendly little place! Chips & salsa was wonderful. My son loves chips and the friendly waiter kept him happy. :) Food was very good and very fast. You can sit inside (walls covered with signed $1 bills) or outside in a little tropical looking area. Very fun & festive that I'd recommend giving a try!

“A touch of Mexico”

This is a a great place to go if you crave a good margarita and some better than average Mexican food. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the service is friendly and efficient.
