Description: Enjoy a spicy and unique atmosphere while savoring the fine Mexican and Southwestern cuisine at Cantina Captiva. Try our homemade guacamole - “The green stuff!” It's made fresh daily. Served with a side of pico de gallo, and warm corn tortilla chips or perhaps you prefer something a little spicier? We've got you covered with our stuffed cheese jalapeno poppers served with a side of fiesta ranch dressing. Looking for a salad to suit your fancy? Choose a taco salad or a fajita salad with your choice of chicken breast, steak or shrimp on top of crisp lettuce topped with lots of goodies. Of course, we have the traditional Mexican food favorites like fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, and burritos. Feeling more non-traditional? Choose our chef's favorites - Shrimp Diablo – Gulf Shrimp sautéed with our chef’s secret chipotle marinade, or Tequila-Lime Shrimp. Complement your meal with a choice of imported or domestic beers or perhaps an icily refreshing margarita!

REALLY good food. Great chef. But just a little discombobulated otherwise. Wait was unpredictable waiter took apps before we were done, but seafood fajitas.....mmm

I had the tamales & fried bananas. They were fresh & full of flavor. Fajitas were good also. My picky 6 year old loved his kid's meal.

Although the food was made to order and served quickly, my husband and I felt that it was pretty mediocre overall. We wanted it to be better than it was, as it came recommended from Fort Myers locals. My husband had a beef burrito, and I ordered a vegetarian burrito. The chips and salsa were very good. The service was attentive, but we were the only customers for the first 30 minutes we were there. The clearest thing I remember about the restaurant was the myriad dollar bills that were stapled all over the walls and signed by previous customers!

We stumbled upon this place before grabbing a drink at the Mucky Duck. Definitely sit in the little funky outdoor area. My husband and mother who have travelled in the Caribbean said it felt like little shacks there. Not the most pristine place, but nothing objectionable. Margaritas were good and appeared to not be from a mix. Chips and guac were serviceable. The chips appeared to be homemade. We had tacos and a steak quesadilla. Tacos were pretty decent and the quesadilla appeared fine. Nothing earth shattering but a decent place to grab a margarita and some tacos in a laid back environment.

A place at the paradise Island Captiva that really presents good Mexican food. We had the blacktuna steak and Acapulco Burrito. Both dishes where fantastic. Service is something else, but food keeps your sunshine smile all the way thrue the meal...
