“Nice beach resort!”
Reviewed July 22, 2013 via mobile

We were pleasantly surprised by this resort. From the outside it looks a bit dated, but inside the rooms are very modern, clean, and comfy.

The pool is nice and the wait staff were very friendly.

They have a coffee shop, but it doesn't open until 10 am, which I thought was odd. I'm sure many guests would like a mocha or latte before 10 am!

They offer beach chairs and cabanas, which were a bit uncomfortable (they are wooden).

It would be nice if they had some kind of beverage/ food service on the beach, since every time we wanted a drink we had to go to the pool bar.

They have a shuttle that takes you into Captiva, which was quick and convenient.

We had a nice visit overall though and would stay here again!

I stayed here on a whim and ended up in the historic cottage, Ding Darling. It was amazing. Full moon on the beach, completely soundproof room, great food, helpful staff and lovely facility. Definately stay here....

My wife, three kids and I have been staying at Tween Waters once or twice a year for the past 10+ years, and we love the property. One of the aspects of Tween Waters that deserves special mention is the Reservations Staff. I was recently reminded of this fact when I booked my family's next stay, scheduled for February 2014. In all the many encounters I have had with the Reservations Staff, I have found them fantastic in meeting requests, accommodating preferences and special needs, and treating me as if I were an old friend. The staff is headed by Carol, and she is outstanding. I really feel "looked after" by these wonderful professionals, and they are an "unsung" part of the wonderful Tween Waters experience, which starts before you ever get there!

We first visited in 2004. We decided to get married there and have been back with our family 5 times now. Everyone is friendly, the accommodations are amazing. Our favorite are the historic cottages. Great pool and beach. The spa was great as well.

Spent 2 nights on the island. It was further down the island away from the tourists trap but also away from many of the restaurants. The food on the grounds was very good, so not necessary to leave. Pool bar and food was decently priced and also very good.
Grossed out by the young children whose parents who allowed them to swim in the pool with their food in hand, so I avoided the pool altogether although it looked quite inviting.
The beach across the road was very nice, although the beach loungers and umbrellas were extra.
