Skip was an outstanding server. We've been to Old Catpiva House many time but not the Crow's Nest. What a welcome addition to dining places. Skip was personable and efficient. On a cold rainy night he made us feel welcome. The food was the biggest surprise. Can't wait to retun at Christmas.

This is a definite must-see for anyone traveling here with kids. They have the famous Crab Races every few days (check for times and dates) and have outstanding food at a very reasonable prices, as compared with other options on the Island. The races start at 6:00 PM so plan on arriving at about 5:00 PM and getting done with dinner before the races start. This will give you plenty of time to enjoy your meal and then enjoy the fun.

We had an awesome Grouper Bites appetizer r that was outstanding! It was so good that all of our three children ate most of it. The atmosphere is very good and the service was outstanding. We arrived a bit early but were given great attention immediately upon entering the place. They have happy hour from 3-6 pm and drinks were half off. We had a great rum and coke for only $3.30! Now, that is a deal.

I am surprised this restaurant is not rated as one of the top ones in the Island. If you go out with your family, call the restaurant and see when the races are. Definitely bring your kids. They will love it!

We've come to the Tween Waters Resort in Captiva Island, Fl three times in the past 5 months and we only eat at The Crow's Nest. Captiva has a few restaurants and Sanibel has many, but it's not necessarily worth the drive. Prices on both islands are much the same. We enjoy the Crow's Nest happy hour and the atmosphere at the bar During the summer, the beers, wells and wines were half price. This Oct. I was told that the happy hour price is almost half price depending on the drink. Guinness draft was $2.83 (reg. $4.48) and Guinness always tastes better on tap unless you're in Dublin! Daniel and Franz at the bar are very pleasant and friendly. We've spent many happy hours with them. Not the girl that was on Friday night on Oct. 21 at 5pm, never seen her before and don't care to. They don't have any appetizer specials for HH, would be nice if you did, but they do have gold fish if you ask. We also ordered appetizers at the bar, good calamari ($9) and excellent wings($9). Chef Jason was very accomodatng and made my husband's request of honey garlic and then he asked the chef to make the next order of wings as hot as he could and Jason rose to the challenge.
Saturday night, the four of us had dinner in the dining room of the Crow's Nest and our server was Jarrett and he was excellent. Great personality, fun and informative. A nice addition to the staff, a keeper. Jarrett recommended the grouper bite appetizer for $12 and it was yum, so tender and fresh, good portion size, could have been a meal. The cheddar, garlic biscuits are soooooo good. They should sell them for take home. We've had the delicious carrot cake before and since we had my parents with me, we wanted them to try the cake too. OMG sooooo good, moist, yummy cream cheese icing, huge portion and we asked for four forks which was enough for all. The location is right across the road from the beach. After a meal, you can wander across the road to the beach.

We were seated immediately and tended to immediately.
We were started out with cheddar rolls and butter.
The rolls could have been a tad warmer and the butter softer.

Surf and Turf was ordered for dinner with a vegetable medley.
Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the lobster was delicious.
Our one tiny complaint. Over the steaks they drizzled a sauce which
we weren't expecting as it was not indicated this was done on the menu.
Neither my spouse or I cared for this sauce and could not tell what it was.
We were able to scrape it off easily and enjoyed our perfectly cooked
steaks with no problem.

Our server was efficient and very pleasant.
We finished dinner just in time to walk across the street to enjoy the sunset.

We will return to this restaurant and I recommend it.
Thank you for an enjoyable evening, Crow's Nest.
