“Peaceful place”
Reviewed June 4, 2014

All of North Captiva Island is very peaceful and quiet but being near water makes it even better. Awesome place for shelling. The current through the pass is very strong so don't go swimming in there and anchor your boat or you'll keep drifting. Get yourself over to the Cayo Costa side of the pass, because that's where the shells are the best and the scenery on the beach is next to none.

“Peaceful, nice, and ideal for shelling!”
Reviewed January 14, 2014

Very nice beaches. The sand is not as powdery as Fort Myers Beach but it is still nice, and very peaceful. Good spot for shelling too!

“Great Fishing”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

Went out with Jim Burnsed- had a great time. Unfortunately a storm the week before was making the fish a little shy. But we did manage to hook up a couple of small sharks. Thanks Jim for a great day.

“Both side of the pass have a lot to offer”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

We took our boat from Sanibel and went to Cabbage Key and on the way back we stopped at North Captiva. We found a secluded place to beach, but it is very shallow and you have to pay attention. It is a great place for people who like to shell, but don't like crowds. The Captiva side of the pass is as far as you can go and is less crowded than other areas, Good shelling as the tide goes out. Bring wine and watch the sunset.
