This is an outstanding local trail and family fun spot. Bring your swimsuit, or a canoe. It's great.

“Great moderate walk”
Reviewed January 3, 2014

The trail was all wood planks which made the walk very easy for my elderly mother. It was peaceful and beautiful. During the summer you can go tubing on the the little river. We stayed at the Comfort Suites and the trail was 1/4 block from the hotel.

“Be enveloped by nature!”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

The "trail" via the wooden boardwalk snakes through the woods and there you'll see and hear the birds, squirrels, and animals that inhabit the area; lots of turtles too. There are places where you can swim in the cool, clear water, and places where you can launch your canoe. Children in the area love to come here in the summer. There is no entrance fee and parking is free, and there's a gazebo too to picnic.

“Wetlands Boardwalk”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

I enjoy taking this raised path through the wetlands of Turkey Creek. It is a unique walk with areas for swimming in the cold creek. It is a well used path with families, joggers, swimmers, etc. There's also a pavilion with picnic tables, a fireplace and grills at the beginning of the path. I have taken the path many times, have picnicked in the pavilion and even used the fireplace with a boy scout eagle ceremony.

“One-of-a-kind experience!”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

I love taking visitors here since the water is always flowing and chilled. You walk about a mile and a half and once you've reached the end it is time to jump in. Bring a floatie if you don't feel like swimming or if you are bringing children make sure you can respond if one gets pulled under by the current (flow of the water really, but it is strong for inexperienced swimmers). You also have to be aware of trees the are sitting at the bottom of the water on the sand because if you have your legs dangling down you could hit them. Wonderful experience and great times! The best thing about it is that it's free! You can even watch the turtles from the bridge. Cute!
