Wonderful place to stay. Close to everything. Spotless room. John and Dee, the owners were excellent hosts and Dee puts an incredible breakfast on the table. The music in the dinning room was a nice mix and not intrusive. Met some very interesting guests. Some were repeats and all the others, including us, plan to stay at the Longboard again. Got to mention the coffee. Won't reveal the secret but once you taste it, you will nag John and he will tell you. We were in room 3-Tropical..Book it if you can. Just don't book it when we want to go back ! Mike and Amy from Tallahassee

Room Tip: The Tropical. Room 3.

My sweetie and I used this B&B as a haven while on a family vacation (his family). The clan was staying in oceanfront condos. We opted for a more peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle. Longboard Inn was perfect. It is just a short drive to the beach and all the beachside stores and food. Great pizza and other restaurants are within walking distance if you prefer. The rooms are comfortable and the decor is aligned with the surfer/beachy theme. John was on his own the weekend we were there, but he laid out a fantastic breakfast.

We were greeted by Carol after a very long day. She immediately made us feel welcome. The room was nicer than the pictures. A huge bathroom, very comfy bed. Very quiet stay. Each morning, a nice breakfast from 8-10. Breads, jams, coffee/tea, and a specialty item with fresh fruit. A nice start to the day. There is plenty of room to sit outside to relax, and very close to any of the area attractions. Room also had a blow dryer, iron/ironing board, small fridge, two robes. The entire property is spotlessly clean!! We will definately go back. (We also brought our little doggie with us, they have a couple of pet friendly rooms...and he had a lot of fun)

Room Tip: We stayed in room 1, right by the road, and found it quiet. This isn't a hotel with a pool, fit...

We enjoyed our Labor Day weekend to celebrate our anniversary at this lovely and comfortable B&B just a few blocks from a great dog beach, New Smyrna Dunes. Loved the mini-fridge in the room that was stocked with a couple of complimentary sodas and waters. We could not eat breakfast in the main dining room because we had to keep an eye out for our dog. But innkeepers John and Dee just brought breakfast to us on the outside patio, which was so gracious of them. We loved the homemade breads and delightful quiches and French toast. We thought this was a great deal and would book it again.

Room Tip: Not every room is open to dog owners, so for big weekends, I would book a little early at least.

Overall, it's an awesome little place that John and Dee run well. Breakfast is great, the location is perfect for strolling in the little downtown area and daily trips to the beach.

The Room - Good room with a comfortable queen bed and a large TV. There was a good size mini-fridge which was helpful for groceries/beverages to pack a cooler for the beach every day. The bathroom was large with the standard toilet/sink/shower-tub. Overall, it was not an extraordinary room but nice, clean, and very functional for spending time in New Smyrna Beach.

The Common Areas/Breakfast/etc - We met a handful of other guests who were all very friendly each morning at breakfast. The breakfast are was nice with plenty of room at the table for all. Breakfasts were delicious, a great mix of breads/fruits/spreads and then a main course each morning (pancakes, quiche, etc). There's also cereal if you'd prefer. John gave us many great tips about the area as well so definitely ask him for recommendations.

The Location - The Inn itself is on the land side of the inter-coastal waterway. We planned on checking out various beaches nearby over the days we stayed so we were planning on driving to the beach everyday so the location was perfect. There's a cool little downtown area just a block away from the Inn. There's a lot of good restaurants and hangouts nearby. The beaches we hit were great, soft sand, decent width strips of sand, good waves for body surfing/boogie boarding. There were lots of restaurants and bars right on a great beach in the main town area. We also checked out Cape Canaveral National Sea Shore ($5 car entrance fee) which had 5 parking areas (we checked out two on the day we went), though there were not much as far as facilities there.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 3 but I don't think any of them were much different.

You will not be disappointed when choosing the Longboard Inn in New Smyrna Beach. It is within walking distance of restaurants, the Farmers Market and shopping. Our rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast absolutely delicious.

We stayed in the Sahara suite and it was a beautiful room -- loved all the sunshine from the windows, the large bathroom was a treat, the decorations were charming. Breakfast was wonderful each morning, and we were so close to everything we wanted to do. Walking down to Canal street to enjoy strolling a farmers market and grabbing lunch at the yummy Panheads Pizzeria, a walk on the beach, dinner at JB's Fish Camp. Such a great beach weekend!

Room Tip: The Sahara suite had a great natural light. Daybed in the 2nd room would be great for a child compan...
