Awesome place to stay. Ignore all the negative reviews, they are untrue. Everything is clean, help is very friendly. I highly recommend this as a place to stay. And if your are in your 40's on up, Peanuts is a nightclub just for our generation.

Our trip to Florida was extended courtesy of Hurricane Sandy. A guy at the train station suggested New Smyrna Beach. So we drove there and looked for a hotel on the beach and ended up here. The best thing I can say is it is indeed close to the beach. It also is sorely in need of some care. There is some charm to staying in a hotel that has let all the cookie cutter chain motel trends pass by, but this may simply be a sign of not caring and letting the location do all the work attracting customers. I ddn't find it quite as dirty as some other reviewers, but the furnishings were worn out years ago. It's a shame because the place could be really appealing to a visitor who avoids chains and wants a place with character ( and a great location).

The location of the motel is not bad - about 200 yards from the beach. However, no money was reinvested for the necessary maintenance over the last 15+ years. Therefore, the motel is currently (September 2012) in a rather desolate condition. Cleanliness could also be improved significantly. Although they claim that the rooms are non-smoking rooms you can smell that somebody smoked in the room before. The taps in the lavabo are encrusted with something.
Don't bother to visit until they redo the whole motel.

While the location of this hotel is perfect, right next to the beach, shops and bars along Flagler Avenue, everything else is less than desirable. The hotel was old and dirty. Don't walk around the room barefoot as the floors haven't been mopped or swept in what I can only imagine is years. The beds were very hard and had a plastic wrap on them so every time you move you are sure to wake up everyone in the room. The bathroom was very tiny and the room as a whole was very dark. No pool and parking is limited. I would recommend stay at the Holiday Inn down the road and using NSB Free to get around town. (NSB Free is a free ride service in town that works on tips, was great for our girls weekend!)

Our stay at the Seahorse was very enjoyable, the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the manager was very accomadating to our needs.Ocean just a minutes walk as are all the shops and resturants,no need to stay anywhere else just park and enjoy. It's all right there. We would go back and stay again.

Room Tip: Any of them they were all nice!!
