“Drive on the beach”
Reviewed May 13, 2014

If you are a county resident you probably want to buy a season pass, but paying $5 for the day is worth it. No hauling stuff from the parking lot, if you can even find a space. Bring your cooler toss your chair from your trunk and you are there. If you want to sit in the water it's just a stroll through the sand. It's the Atlantic so we have waves though to watch the surfers you need to drive to North end by the Inlet. That's the best fishing, for both man and those little sharks we are famous for.

“fun times”
Reviewed May 10, 2014 via mobile

The best part is loading up the car and driving for a spot right on the beach. Loads of cheap, good eats in town and on the beach. A delightful town. Will be back

“Shark Bite Capitol of the world...”
Reviewed April 10, 2014

Our small community does have more shark bites each year than the rest of the world. They are usually well deserved by surfers dangling the legs and feet in the ocean near our surfing area known as Ponce Inlet. The sharks mistake the limbs for bait fish and usually let go when the flavour does not meet their taste profile.

The rest of the town is quaint with lots of beach type restaurants, bars and the usual surf shops. Most of the lodging is in condos with just a few full service hotels and other vacation rentals.

A great place to visit if you take the time to watch out for those fins.
