“Great Oysters, nice mix of choices”
Reviewed April 4, 2013 via mobile

Best thing here are the oysters - we ordered two dozen raw and they were excellent - fresh and nice in size. We had a party of 8 and the manager took care of us. They don't take reservations. The grouper bite appetizer was great too. I've had better grouper sandwiches, but others enjoyed the flounder sandwiches. Grouper Reuben looked good. Non-seafood choices included ribs, a chicken sandwich , and a nice hamburger. The person in our party who ordered the ribs really enjoyed them.

“Best oysters in NSB”
Reviewed March 26, 2013

We have been there twice this month with friends and family. although my wife and I do not eat oysters, it is what gives this place an edge. Last weekend, the other four people all ordered them as apps, and they all raved about how good they were. They are running a happy hour special on Sat and sun nights from noon to 7pm: $7/dozen oysters and $1-2 off on drinks. It does mean that they get backed up on oyster orders, so be prepared for a wait to get them. The ahi tuna app was also terrific, and I had a very good blackened Mahi. My wife had the fried seafood platter. The clams were very good, but the fish was just so so.

The restaurant info is incorrect, as they do not accept reservations. It is a laziness of all NSB restaurants, and this one is no different. Most customers do not live here, so service is not the best. The wait staff is friendly, don't misunderstand me, but it is very busy and not very attentive. You can expect a wait around 5-6 pm and 8 pm on weekends, and it is noisy.

All that said, the seafood is very good for the area. We will come back again next year.

“If you love oysters....”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

This is a relaxed bar/restaurant that serves really good seafood. The local catch is often on the menu and always delicious; but the oysters - really good. We have always had good food there and have been generally pleased with the service and management. We were doubly impressed by the efforts for cleanliness. We watch the wait staff routinely wipe down both the tables and seating surfaces with disinfectant after guests. That's really great to see. We go there often.

“Food good, ambiance a little sterile.”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

The food was good and fresh, the service was very attentive particulary since we had a child under two. They served him right away. The restaurant is in a strip mall and a lacks a bit of warmth, otherwise worth a trip.

“Interesting Meal”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

Ordered some wine. Many spots on the glass. Went to bartender and he said they are all like that it's just water spots. They break if you dry them? interesting........ Ordered a dozen oysters. Got eleven. I guess the shucker didn't do well in school with his/her math. Also ordered some gumbo. I love gumbo. Obviously the gumbo had been scorched. A taste that is unmistakable. Took a pepcic AC and slept well. Will not go back or recommend. Since opening (we went often) this restaurant has gone downhill in food quality, service, and friendliness. The least experinced servers in the area. Not sure how they are hired. As an alternative, try the Upper Deck or The Garlic.. Never been disappointed.
