Chinese buffet's aren't always a good bet for sushi, but Gators really gives it a go. It's not a high end sushi bar quality or selection, but, we are not paying high end prices either. I you are going out specifically for sushi, Gators may not be the place for you. But it's a more than sufficient appetizer prelude to a large, belly bustin buffet that offers most everything in Americanized Chinese as well as items like ham, roast beef, pizza and u-peel-em shrimp. It really is somewhat impressive that Gators not only does a good job at stocking the many items, the quality and freshness is equally impressive. I tried a number of the seafood items determined to find some funny smells indicative of a sub par or old product, and found nothing offensive. Even the cherry stone clams were fresh and tender. The desert bar is also well stocked with a wide variety of goodies including hand dipped ice creams. Overall, a nice, clean presentation.
Parking is fairly plentiful, as the lot is shared with other small business.
Restrooms were clean.
Prices are very moderate and complimentary hot tea available on request.
Bottom line, Gators is probably worthy of an excellent rating here at tripadvisor for food quality, interior cleanliness, and price, but just one negative in the experience and it's commonplace with many Chinese restaurants. The rear of the building (behind the kitchen) is somewhat cluttered and not well kept and doesn't smell the best. But like I stated, it's a fairly common problem in the industry.
You should enjoy Gators! A lot of other people seem to be doing just that.
