“All in all a very good meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2013

Not a lot to choose from surprisingly in the Navarre beachfront area for good dining. After reading reviews we were a bit skittish about trying the east bay but were very glad we did.
The not so good- a bit pricey. Salad bar was nothing to write home about (one trip was sufficient). We were seated in the back bar room as we we were a group of six... An unremarkable sitting. The water wasn't very tasty, although its probably more a local thing vs. the establishment.
The good- the food was very good. We had a myriad of dishes.... From mussels to shrimp to shark and so forth. All broiled or steamed and all quite tasty and hot. Nothing greasy whatsoever. Service was efficient, attentive and friendly. The server was very apologetic when she forgot our soup and quickly attended to that. Hosts were gracious, kind and appreciative of our patronage.
Prep time was reasonable and all dishes came when expected except for the aforementioned chowder
Our daughter was not hungry or impressed with the food ordered but when she saw our shrimp and mussels quickly changed her mind and her dish was prepares quickly enough to come out with our already ordered dinners.
Easy to find and quite a homey place... Not fancy but comfortable enough.

We would certainly return- and as an eastern seaboard guy, I take my seafood seriously... East bay did not disappoint.

“Ok place to visit”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2013 via mobile

We had dinner here. Food was good and had large portion of Grouper. Didn't really like 1 visit rule to salad bar. I understand not having a salad buffet, but they give you a bowl. Found it difficult to have salad and some cole slaw in same bowl. Pricing was a little higher than other establishments we have found in area with same portion sizes. Would not be first choice to visit if in area again, but wouldn't rule it out.

“Reasonable prices, good food, family oriented...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2013

I am a regular guest at this restaurant. I always come here for the saute grouper. No one prepares this dish as well as they do. I always enjoy a glass of wine after my meal and this restaurant has a cozy bar with a large selection of drinks. The atmosphere is warm & friendly. Everyone there is very polite andI would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone!

“Grease is the key word”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2013

We ordered grilled talapia and grilled shrimp. I used 1 small and 1 dinner napkin to sop up the grease on my plate. The steamed veggies were beyond steamed by a few minutes. The staff was pleasant and attentive, but that can't make up for awful food. Have to say, the cocktail was good...short, but good

“Grilled tilapia, better here!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2013

Great grilled tilapia! The best dish on the specials menu. It is topped with a delightful butter sauce, and served with a side of potatoes. I would not typically order this fish at a restaurant, but here it's worth it!

In addition to having this special, they have a friendly staff and nice environment.
