Not a lot to choose from surprisingly in the Navarre beachfront area for good dining. After reading reviews we were a bit skittish about trying the east bay but were very glad we did.
The not so good- a bit pricey. Salad bar was nothing to write home about (one trip was sufficient). We were seated in the back bar room as we we were a group of six... An unremarkable sitting. The water wasn't very tasty, although its probably more a local thing vs. the establishment.
The good- the food was very good. We had a myriad of dishes.... From mussels to shrimp to shark and so forth. All broiled or steamed and all quite tasty and hot. Nothing greasy whatsoever. Service was efficient, attentive and friendly. The server was very apologetic when she forgot our soup and quickly attended to that. Hosts were gracious, kind and appreciative of our patronage.
Prep time was reasonable and all dishes came when expected except for the aforementioned chowder
Our daughter was not hungry or impressed with the food ordered but when she saw our shrimp and mussels quickly changed her mind and her dish was prepares quickly enough to come out with our already ordered dinners.
Easy to find and quite a homey place... Not fancy but comfortable enough.
We would certainly return- and as an eastern seaboard guy, I take my seafood seriously... East bay did not disappoint.
