My wife and I stayed in the campground in the fall of 2006. We liked our stay so much we decided to leave our RV in the park for the entire summer of 2007. We checked in the month of April and will leave in October. This campground gives you the feeling like you belong there. Its a great place to walk around with friendly folks always speaking to you. The campground is well kept, the workers are very pleasant and will check on you from time to time to see if things are going OK. The pier is in really shallow water; this makes fishing from it kind of challenging. We haven't seen very many fish caught there but, who cares anyway its always fun to try. Restaurants are not abundant but, most are very good with some of the locals being the best. You will find it very relaxing and the beach is only a stones thow away - across the bridge. The campground is located on the Intracoastal Water Way. The campground is family oriented with plenty of places to ride bikes, a pool, play area (for small children), beach area, shuffle board and a basketball court. The sites all have a patio area with picnic tables and full hook-ups (most have some shade). The bath houses are very clean and you can wash clothes in the laundry on the site. The campground store has most things you may need and there is plenty of grocery stores and a Super Walmart less than a mile away. We would recommend the campground for a nice stay along Highway 98 between Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach Florida.
