“On tour from Florida Keys”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

On returning from a visit to Key West we stopped over for 2 nights at Lemon Tree Inn Naples.
How lucky we were to find this beautiful place with such excellent comfort, clean rooms and free continental breakfast. The staff were very kind and helped us arrange our next stop and hotel.
Prices were the best and as we were from the UK on a holiday tour, and found other places more expensive and the rooms dated. Lemon Tree Inn was perfect in our eyes and would ask you to give it a visit and enjoy the pleasure of the place. We even had a place to park our car.
Naples was lovely to visit and we enjoyed the evening shopping and seeing lots of interesting things for Christmas. Thank you to all the staff there. Mrs Patricia Little. Kent UK.

Room Tip: Just book ahead if you can and we liked the ground floor room 101 and 100 as it was so handy for the...

Spent four days in Naples, probably the most expensive place in USA certainly Florida. You will be run over by Porsche, Aston Martin Ferrari etc. This Motel is very close to the centre ie 5th. Avenue and very reasonable prices and good parking as you would expect. They even include a continental breakfast with coffee and muffins with fridges in each room and obligatory air conditioning. Reasonable size swimming pool but it is location, location, location in the heart of Naples that scores as value for money.

Room Tip: Keep as far away from the main road SR 41 as possible as a lot of traffic

My wife and I were lucky enough to come across this centrally located Inn in downtown Naples. From the moment we stepped inside the office we knew we would be happy here for our ten day stay. The staff was friendly, the rate reasonable, the rooms were immaculately clean, the pool outside our room just sparkled and best of all....televisions that were easy to operate! There's even a daily continnental breakfast included.

This is a place where you can walk to the downtown area.Fifth Avenue stores are a cut above the rest. .Everything seems to be here, there's a CVS Drug store next door, plenty of restaurants that fit every budget.

We've already used the bikes that rent for ten dollars a day and got every pennies worth.
Do yourself a favor and book a room here on your next visit to Naples.

I just re-read my comments and although it might seem like a commercial but my comments are all genuine.

The Lemon Tree Inn is literally next to the main road.
As we drove up we thought we would be in for a crappy night, but we were pleasantly surprised by the place. We only stayed overnight, but would have liked to stayed longer. Of the 6 hotels we visited on our Florida stay this was our favorite.

This hotel has a very romantic feel to it. The rooms are actually mini-apartments with wooden beds and proper furniture. Nothing is cheap plastic, everything has that rustic original feel to it. It is somewhat old, but certainly not broken or rundown. More like original era – and we prefer that over a shiny new chain hotel where everything is made of cardboard and plastic.

The rooms have a patio with chairs and a small table and you will most likely find yourself sitting there within minutes, rocking your chairs like an old couple. And in fact there are quite a lot of neighboring senior citizens that do exactly that.

To us it felt like a scene from a movie. The nicely maintained gardens, the lovely surroundings – the whole place is just a nice place to stay and everybody says hello when they pass your patio. The nearby road seemed very very far away all of a sudden.

The breakfast is my only complaint – it is nothing more than bagels and muffins. Nothing wrong with that in this price-range but it sort of brought down the whole romantic feel of the place. You'd expect a nice set table with rustic bread and fresh fruit in weaved baskets etc. but instead you get supermarket stuff still in the original wrapping. That just seemed wrong.

But yes – if we (a couple in our 40's) are in the area again we would book this hotel again gladly. However if you want to stay romantic I would find a proper baker and get some nice breakfast material there and stay on my patio.

Rocking that chair and contemplating life.

Room Tip: Not sure if all rooms have patio's - be sure to ask one with a patio.

Pro: Good location, close to main Street. Friendly staff.
Cons: outdoor breakfast, not ideal when it has been raining during night with chilly morning weather.

Overall would recommend for a short stay.

Stopped off for two nights and had a great room away from the road and with a four poster bed and small porch. Receptionist very friendly and helpful. Only a block or two away from 5th avenue. Everything within walking distance. Breakfast simple but adequate and was a bonus as was not expecting it. Only negative was that there was not a safe in the room but had access to the safe in the reception.
