We stayed in a two double room Jan. 24-26, 2013. It was clean and adequate for the price we paid. This is a hotel that you access from outside, not indoors. There are two stories and you need to walk up stairs to get to the second floor (no big deal). The room had a microwave, mini fridge, LCD TV, safe and ironing board. The bathroom consisted of a tub/shower, toilet and was very small (could hardly close door without backing into the toilet or tub). Outside the bathroom was a small vanity sink with granite counter top and large mirror. Beds were very comfortable but fairly small for doubles (it seemed).
Good points: great pool (warm for Jan), nicely landscaped, quiet, good location and breakfast.

Breakfast (complimentary) is in the steak house adjacent to the office. There were plenty of tables and a TV to catch up on the news while eating. Breakfast items included: cereals, toast, waffle station, oatmeal, fruit, pastries and a few hot items (scrambled eggs, beef patty, hash browns, biscuits), juices, coffee. Items were generally well prepared and hot.

Front desk was efficient and friendly upon arrival and departure. There is a computer near the office where you can check-in for flights and print boarding passes (complimentary).

Location: approx. 1/2 mile to the beach (Lowderdale Beach) on US41 and an 8 minute drive to Naples Pier.
The major mall was less than a half mile and included large department stores (Macys, etc) and a Cheesecake Factory! One block down was a great dealership if you like Porsches, Aston Martins, Bentleys, Maserati's, Land Rovers (loved it!!!).

Overall, a decent stay. If you are looking for a 3+ star or 4 star hotel, don't book this one...you won't be happy.

Room Tip: Ask for a second floor room looking over the pool courtyard. Close to everything, including breakfa...

This is a perfect time capsule of a hotel, straight from the sixties. The staff is very focused on customer service, the rooms are clean and the beds are fine. If you want a modern, generic hotel, stay out on the interstate and you will be happy. If you want a truly old-time Florida experience, this is it. Remember the old postcard photos of the hotel with all external rooms (no internal hallways) with lush gardens and a pool in the middle? Here it is. The owners appear to take maintenance seriously - the paint is fresh, and the tile in the bathroom is clean and nice. The decor is a wash of browns and golds and reds. Just like an old movie. Near downtown and a short walk to the beach. Next door to the Bentley and Maserati dealer, if you want to buy a car. Cons? Spotty internet.

We were not happy with the quality of the room and service, given the price paid. Spider and small bugs found in room. Front desk was notified. Also, requested extra set of towels, but never received them on any day of our stay.

Thank you for choosing Ramada Naples Hotel. It is extremely disapointing to read a review like yours and we wish that your visit could have been diferent. Our location and climate dictate that we have a pest control program for ours guestrooms and landcaping to keep pests outdoors where they belong. Unfortunaly some of these cases can result in a variety of flying pest entering the room, including palmetto bugs, a kind of insect well know in Florida. We try to do our best, nevertheless situaitons like mention above can undermine the best pest prevention methods. Again my apologizes for this inconvinience, and reviews like yours helps us to improve our goals.

Bottom line: I would stay here again, but I would probably try to get a good deal on a higher end hotel/resort before booking here.

I stayed for two nights with my daughter who wanted to swim in a pool during a trip. It was a short trip, planned at the last minute and booked through Priceline. For what I paid (about $40-50 less than the advertised rate), I feel that it was good value. If we had paid the advertised rate I may have had to rate the "value" as less than 3/5.

The property: I picked this place based on the pool and the location. It did not disappoint in those regards. The pool is large, heated, and beautifully landscaped with generous pool hours, very nice lounge chairs and big fluffy towels. Nothing to complain about there. The location is also very nice. Close to many of the Naples attractions (shopping malls, Tin City, Lowdermilk Beach, etc..). On these points, I would stay here again.

The room: As nice as the pool and location is, the rooms are a bit outdated and worn looking. As other reviewers have noted, the bathrooms are very outdated, tiny and worn out (dingy). The carpets are showing wear. Our room was clean and free of any unwanted critters so it was acceptable (particularly at the rate we paid), but it was nothing to write home about. I will confirm that rooms get very humid and damp. Those AC units do nothing to dehumidify so the carpet can actually start to feel damp and the room does get a little musty. Not intolerable, but noticeable.

Breakfast - it is included for free. Not much selection, but probably adequate for many people. My daughter was happy about the make your own Belgium waffles and a small pastry assortment. I had the coffee since there wasn't really anything to suit my tastes (no yogurt, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, etc...). The breakfast lounge is large and has a TV showing the news and the food that was available was well stocked.

Staff: very friendly, although I did not have any major issue to resolve.

One note about booking through Priceline. I suspect that when you book that low "name your own price" via Priceline, you get the undesirable rooms at this hotel. (I think that is actually typical of most hotels and Priceline bookings). I had the room on the lower level, under the stairs and toward the Tamiami side of the building. This all equals noisy. People start stomping up and down the stairs at 6:00 am with no regard for the rooms nearby. Add the street noise and it can be pretty disturbing to sleep. Not intolerable, but worth noting.

Room Tip: Rooms at the end of the buildings are noisier due to proximity to the stair case. Also rooms toward...
