“Nice hotel, very well located but weird service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2014

Avoid room 169 (ground floor parking side) since like a cellar : no sight, only plant and trees, very dark...
Regarding staff: no smile, old fashioned, almost disturbed by our presence.
Style possibly linked with golfers als main guests but we could conclude that we are 40 years too young for Naples...
Location on the beach has enabled 3 stars.

Room Tip: Avoid GF and room 169 in particular at any price

My wife and I joined family for a vacation this past February. The hotel is quite unique in it's set up with multiple buildings on the property. Overall the property and rooms are well maintained. The beach is also well maintained and is the highlight of the property. Food is average for the price. Service is hit or miss. Some employees are very friendly and helpful, others are not. The hotel should get more friendly employees in service areas like the bar that could up sell guests but do not try to. The big knock on this hotel is the nickel and dime philosophy they have. They charge for everything....including a beach chair. The price is a bit over the top for simply getting a spot on the beach. The price for internet connection is also very expensive. With having visited Naples several times I understand things are a bit over priced in general. But in order for this hotel to be top notch, they must offer more if they are going to charge what they do. I would stay at this resort again knowing that I am volunteering to be over charged. What would be nice is if management listened to it's customers and gave more back for every stay.

Worst waiter ever. Rushed us through our sunset dinner. He even spilled the wine when he poured it too fast. The gals who seat you were too busy worrying about boys. The view was spectacular and the food fantastic. I wish the chef had been out waiter.

Loved the Lg spacious rooms and tropical decor furnishings and color. The pool area and Restaurant overlooks the Calm Ocean. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a family, couples, solo or business relaxing vacation.

I have stayed at this hotel many of a time. I choose to write a second review to comment on the renovations. Last year in May, I was in a nice but dated room in the main building. This year I had a room 619 in the yellow building. It was really nice. It was roomy and comfortable without losing any of the previous charm.
We eat both at the beach and pool area and food was pricey but good.
The staff is really excellent in all regards. There is every attention to detail .
The prices are high during the spring but not unreasonable like the Ritz.
It's a fun, welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

Spring break visit with teenage kids. Room was good size and clean, quiet. Nice to be right on the beach, beach was moderately crowded but not hard to find a spot. I have seen others complain that wi-fi is charged per device-that was not true for me-we had 3 devices running at once with only single 9.95 charge per day (still unnecessary to charge for wifi, though). Never used pool but looked crowded and hard to find seat. Did not use restaurant. Front desk very helpful, first night helped with dinner reservations when we arrived (concierge closed), and also helpful when I needed to print some baseball tickets. Valet parking seemed OK, but I prefer self parking--it was challenging until I discovered the lot across the street with plenty of spots all the time. Wife and son played golf and loved the course. Close to plenty of restaurants/shopping/attractions.

Went in November and had a great time. Expansive resort w/ different buildings across the property, more like a compound. Pool and lenghty beach that was being replaced so that was not great but the beach should be BEAUTIFUL now. Great sunsets at the outside bar w/ live music in the evening. Nice staff. Would go again.
