The location of the VBM is just perfect, close to everything (Shops, convenient store, Cinemaes, Bach). We stayed there in a small appartment 2 BR/2 Bathrooms and a kitchen.
Still there was always a "but" when you think about it....

The appartment was nice, but old and worn-out. The walls hat spots, the bathroom had several problems with interiors that are starting to crack.

The appartment was clean, but only in bed and bath. The maid did not once in two weeks change the linens or ever use the dustcleaner or so. All she did, was cleaning the bath (perfect) and make the bed again, that's it.

The location at the beach is perfect, but if you wanted to go to the beach and have beachchairs over there, you had to be early. They are giving them away on a first come first serve basis, which wold be ok but not if there are huge groups getting all the chairs because they are sending someone early in the morning.

The staff was ok, but not really nice. After we had travelled here from Los Angeles and seen only very friendly faces everywhere on our way, this was a change: no smiles and only little words. Maybe because we are european? I don't know...

There is a restaurant belonging to the resort and their food is good. But even with a reservation in advance, you cannot get a good table close to the beach and we had so sit in 3rd row, which is a pity.

There was no possibility for a late check-out, but we were allowed to use the bathing house for a quick shower after the beach and before leaving, that was nice.

Over all, we liked the location of the hotel but we think they should remember that they are a place that lives by reccomandation of the guests. If the VBR improves a little in services like cleaning and friendlyness, it is a magic place to be.

We will probabely be back but if, we will know that we do not want to go there on a week-end (then it is always clouded with huge groups that are having party all night...) or that we will ask for a room as high as possible (in first floor we had peoble above us shoveling the chairs until very late at night, very noisy...).

The property was beautiful with wonderful views, however front desk displayed terrible customer service skills.

Arrived for 1:00 check in as clearly stated in a confirming email only to be told that 2:00 was the correct time. When shown the email, there were no apologies. We were simply told to go get a drink or something. Came back at 2:00 and were given the key to our room--which was still filthy from previous guests. After talking to the manager the following morning, we were belittled for relying on their email. Still no apology.

Our condo room turned out to be very nice, two bedrooms and a working kitchen. Great view of the Intercoastal.

Turtle Club restaurant on site at the beach was exquisite. Great food & even better service.

We had stayed there many times, but the condos have been remodeled since we were there.
It was very nice to see the new tile in the bathrooms, new tvs, and the new furniture.
We had plenty of space for everyone to spread out, and we all enjoyed the patios where you could enjoy the scenery.
There are places close by to eat or you can buy groceries and fix something in the room. We really enjoy being able to have that option.
You just do not want to leave when it is time to go back home!!

Room Tip: If you want quiet, stay in the condos.

This was our third stay at this fantastic resort! It's low key , right on the beach, spotless and truly a wonderful value. The beach is second to none and just a few steps from the rooms. The beach attendant is there to put out your chairs and umbrellas and you can have lunch or dinner delivered to you from the Turtle Club (on site) right on the beach! It was a relaxing stay and we hope to come back at least once a year! Beautiful garden area, lit by tiki torches at night. Our one bedroom apartment had a beautifully redone bathroom and kitchenette area. A magical place indeed!

Stayed for 3 nights in June at this wonderful resort. We stayed in unit 49 which is on the left side of the building facing the ocean. this unit is very quiet. we had chairs outside our room where we could give View the ocean. the beach attendant was excellent. he put our chairs out for Us each day and brought us towels. the room had a stove microwave and full size refrigerator. large closet space as well. don't miss the Turtle Club Restaurant on property. it is a little pricey but so worth it. The best food and presentation. you can also eat right on the beach for lunch or dinner. parking attendants were excellent and they took your baggage to your room which can be an issue as you only have stairs as an option if you were on the second floor. we brought groceries with us and they took everything to our room for us. we will definitely be back to this resort when in the Naples area.

Many gigantic properties line the coast of North Naples, and we simply don't like being in them. The VBR is 2 floors, so getting around to the Pool, the Car, the OCEAN (which was 87 degrees - yah!) is a SNAP.

You can also walk for Ice Cream, Pizza, and other convenience items - really nice.

I think our favorite thing was...they give you a "beach card" which you simply hand to "Cabana Dan" - he sets up Chairs on the Beach...with Umbrellas and a small Table...and TOWELS - and all you need to do to get your card back, is return the towels when you're done ! This simple little nicety is HUGE when you don't want to goof around with laundry all day !

I suppose the only "negative" - MAYBE - was that the price of the food offerings in the embedded restaurant (the Turtle Club) was a bit rich for us. But it wasn't REALLY a negative for us because we simply choose to dine out or dine IN THE ROOM thanks to the full kitchen.

Well - it was really great, and we'll be back for sure.

Recommended by friends as the ONLY place to stay in Naples, my Mom and I went on a much needed long weekend. We were not disappointed. Right on the beach in lush surroundings, the Vanderbilt lives up to its reputation. Our room was delightful. My Mom kept saying the room was as clean as our house. Everybody at the resort was nice, friendly, and attentive. We will go back.
