This is our third stay at the Ritz Carlton Naples - obviously we love it. Our 5 year old daughter loves the pool and the beach. My wife loves the spa. The service is everything you expect from RC. The location is close to many quality stores and services. The hotel is shutting down July 24 to Sept 2, 2013 for a complete remodel ($60M we were told) - it will be amazing to see what they improve.

Just got back from the Ritz Carlton, Naples. As expected, the Ritz is great! We traveled with our 9-month old daughter and the hotel helps to make everything easy. This is a great hotel for travelling with an infant (crib, microwave, fridge provided to us in-room). The service is excellent and everyone goes above and beyond. The rooms are a bit old (but are being updated soon). The food is very good (we tried most of the restaurants). Location is great. Makes for an easy vacation. You can watch the sunset over the ocean, great views from this property.Would definitely recommend the Ritz Naples.

This was our second stay here and whilst La Playa (half a mile down the road) is smaller and more boutique, and higher rated on TA, there is everything you need here. Great service from all the staff, lovely décor in all public rooms and the bedrooms, and its hard to see what an 8 week closure for refurb (Aug/Sep) will improve upon. Perhaps the Terrace restaurant (and breakfast area) is past its best (albeit the dinner was good if a limited menu) and the Sushi bar (more like a sports bar) doesn't quite fit the hotel's ambience. The Bites restaurant in the lobby area is a great take on an American style tapas, and Gumbo Limbo outside gives great sunset views (but you get the flies as it goes dark). The only niggle might be drinks prices - USD12-15 for wine which was I think 175ml measures, but the beach shop over the road sells wine at that per bottle, and the supermarkets are even cheaper. Also the terrace breakfast at USD28 was London/NY price and a bit more. And limited choice for that price. There were nice touches in the room with little free gifts every other day or so, and the housekeeping/car valet service was first rate and a model of efficiency.

Room Tip: the Coastal view rooms (not sea view) on the north side of the hotel are great, but below are the ai...

I stayed at the hotel early June with my husband to celebrate our 39th anniversary. Unfortunately I picked up a throat infection in route to the destination. After two days of recouperating in bed, I wanted to get out of the hotel room and enjoy the beachfront (what we came there for) while having lunch. Found out that neither of the two sit-down lunch serving restaurants in the hotel is accessible without going outside through the rain/wind to get to. The staff did offer to set us up in the lobby and had the room service personnel serve us, which was nice, but the atmosphere was very different from watching the waves roll in to watching the hustle and bustle of patrons check-in and out. Very dissapointing.
At check-in we were offered a spa treatment. However, there again, no access to the spa building without avoiding the rain/wind.
We were impressed with the hurricane windows in the our room, and tried several times thru Guest Services to learn more about the product. After leaving voice mail requests to the maintenance dept. and even phoning the hotel after returning home, I've never received a return call. Obviously, Ritz's service levels only goes so far.
A very expensive place to weather an illness - I expected much more.

The Ritz Carlton Naples met my exacting standards in every way. The hotel was friendly and incredibly accommodating. For example, the first day I asked for a 7:30 wakeup. When I did my usual,"click," they called me back twice until I responded. I suddenly realized the personal touch is what separates RCN from other hotels. The service was incredible, the beach beautiful, and Bytes was great.

We enjoyed the hotel so much we extended our stay an additional day. We loved everything about the hotel from our beautiful appointed ocean view room to the gorgeous beach and the different dining options. The staff was unfailingly friendly, well trained and polite. We were always greeted with a small. We were concerned about the upcoming renovations, however, that did not effect our stay in any way. Some of the dining facilities will get a needed "facelift".
We would stay there again anytime...Luxurious yet unpretentious and very relaxing.

Room Tip: Ocean front with views and a balcony is wonderful

I love to praise people when they do a good job, and offer solutions to others when they have problems. The first people I want to give praises to at the Ritz-Carlton, Naples, Fl (on the beach) is the excellent valet service, bell service, and concierge! They were top of the line! Now to the problems with this place...uncomfortable bed, dirty floors, no shampoo, room service too slow, just generally dirty. This Ritz has a great location, but it needs a significant update. The carpet, drapery and bedspreads need to be replaced. Another thing I couldn't believe...you pay a big price to stay here, but then you have to pay for the use of the internet in your room. I have stayed at Hampton Inn and their internet is free and their beds are much more comfortable! I was not impressed with this Ritz Carlton, mainly due to the housekeeping and it is outdated!
