Have stayed at the Waldorf for the past few years now and finally decided to try the Strip House for steak. (We usually go down the road to Shula's, but it was booked).
My wife and I ordered a lobster and an 8oz. filet mignon to share and also ordered the 6oz filet mignon for our 10 year old son. (the 6oz filet is only offered to children, adults must order 8oz or more).

The restaurant is not up to the Morton, Palm, Shula standards for a good steakhouse. The menu is not as diverse and they are very heavy on the bacon and starch selections. The menu does not specify the size of the lobster and although they clean it for you, when they bring out the shell so you can work on the legs, it comes out very dry as they probably use a warming lamp on the shell which dries out the remaining meat. (we ordered the lobster steamed and the shell came to us so crispy it was almost broiled).

The most upsetting part of the meal was that when our son took his first bite of steak, he immediately spit it out saying something tasted funny. My wife and I took one smell of the steak and realized that it was clearly off and had a terrible rancid smell. When we politely mentioned this to the server, she apologized and took it back to the chef who informed her to tell us that THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE MEAT!?! We were so shocked. Clearly the chef did not want to admit that he had served us rancid food, or he couldn't tell bad steak from good...either way, VERY DISAPPOINTING. The server was embarrassed and offered the steak for free...duh!?...and a free dessert. No thanks, our appetites were ruined.

Not an apology from the manager or anyone else.

Too bad. We will not be back, nor will any of our friends or family.

My Medium Rare Bone in Rib Eye was very well prepared and good quality. Ceasar salads not very well chilled. Potatoes Romanoff was good. Service timeliness was good on the food but felt like I was at a banquet. No explanation of the menu, waited for drink reorder, no introduction from server. Bascially took the order and dropped the food and check.

Went with my girlfriend for Valentine's dinner at this suppose to be romantic place. If you want a good steak and better service I suggest Angelina's or Flemmings this place was way under my expectations, the waiter did not even explain anything on the menu neither or told us there was a particular menu especially for Valentine's Day, I felt rushed the service was the worst, and by the way if for wherever reason you decide to try it do not let "MARCO" be your waiter worst server ever, and if you want to complain do not even bother because they will tell you either the manager left or he is very busy and you can call the next day what a joke, romantic place, I would called low-quality way below average service place. 0 stars because this place does not deserve one.

A very good hotel-based steak house, but not to the standard of a Morton's or Lawry's. Our service was competent and the steaks were very good though closer to medium than our preferred medium rare (not enough to send them back, though). Beef quality was excellent Char was heavy and too peppery to not be mentioned in advance. Blue Point oysters were succulent. Lobster Bisque was good with some lobster hidden in a nice ravioli. Noise level was good. Table conversation was easy with an appropriate level of lively ambient noise. Baked Alaska that appeared in restaurant's on line menu is no longer served.

One night decided not to travel off resort property and ate at the Strip House on site. The worst decision of the entire trip! Where to start??? Sunday night at 19:00 hours, not busy at all asked to sit in the bar area so I could see the TV, no problem host promptly told us to sit anywhere we liked.
Bar server looked stoned and then asked if we would be eating and we replied yes. He said the service will be very slow and told us that he only does drinks. We were then moved to a two top table. Server walked up and asked what we wanted to drink, no introduction or professionalism for a welcoming feeling, only beer Michelob ultra or Budweiser. Server barely spoke English!
I was going to order a steak until I saw some other people complaining about the meat. We split the sesame tuna and a salad, which we ordered rare came out well done. No taste, no server, no possibility of this place lasting. The bread and beer were ok at best. Save your money and go anywhere but here!
