We researched carefully before coming to Naples, as we were anxious for good seafood in our short stay here - coming from the desert with limited choices! The USS Nemo is a remarkable experience in a strip mall outside the "touristy" area of Naples - you will almost certainly have to drive here from your lodging rather than just stroll, but don't let that stop you. We had a very fine lunch (and consider going for lunch, prices go up at dinner) in mid-week, and reserved ahead - there were few emply tables when we arrived at 1 pm and we were glad we had taken the trouble. The Pepper Jelly Crispy Calamari was intriguing, although I think I will try the "regular" version next time - the pepper jelly sauce reduces the crunch! My partner had the "signature Miso broiled sea bass, and I chose the grilled yellowtail snapper with sautéed artichoke hearts - both were excellent. Wine by the glass is reasonably priced, and there are some reasonable bottles as well, along with others well over three figures. We were surprised to see "poutine" on the menu (in its standard Canadian form, a concoction of chicken gravy and cheese over French fries, here more upscale, with, for example, Spanish chorizo), and then we realized we had seen dozens of Ontario license plates, and this must be a popular "home away from home" dish."
There are some outside tables, but we chose to be inside away from the humidity and the traffic on 41. The atmosphere is calm, service is good, and high fives to management for very nice unisex toilet facilities! Beam me back down, Captain Nemo!
