“Clean, quiet, comfy...do not hesitate”
Reviewed November 12, 2009

I am much more inclined to agree with Lara's review than the step-by-step critique by the boater. We just returned today from a 5 night stay and the only think negative I can think of this place is that the there were not a sufficient amount of tables and chairs within the small room devoted to the continental breakfast. That and the toaster being placed on a too small pedestal type piece of furniture. I mean, these are the only 2 things I can find an issue with and certainly they are too minor to matter, but the reason you come to this place is simply to relax and you can do that easily at Naples Bay resort. It is simply wonderful, beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The beds were wonderful, the maid service top notch and attentive in every way and to every detail. We got room service from Olio Restaurant the first night and they delivered within 15 or 20 minutes. The hotel is ideally located. You can walk to the great shops on Fifth Ave. or across the street to the shops at the beautiful condos on the bay (name escapes me, but there is a walkway under the road from Tin City over to it). We did alot of walking and particularly enjoyed the short and scenic walk from the Hotel over to the Cottages, where there is a large pool area ideal for families and children, and across from that (separated by the little lazy river area) is the "Quiet Area." This is pool, lounge chairs and cabanas you can rent ($40 a day/no amenities, $75 with amenities, e.g., food, evian spritz, reading material, etc.) in the quiet area and it truly is respected as such. No children, no music...just peace. Bathrooms right there, spa right there--go in and have a sauna or steam. My husband liked the fitness portion very much and the weights and equipment were more than adequate. Very excellent, actually. Lunch time the restaurant's waiter comes to ask if you are interested in lunch, which we did have served. Very tasty and fun. We ate on Fifth St. at the mexican restaurant for lunch one day (very fun, very good-prix fixe lunch menu we got was $22.99/paella for 2 and a glass of sangria) and one night, hit another prix fixe place called Cafe Luna. $30 bought us each a nice italian dinner with a bottle of wine. We were going to eat at Jane's on 3rd Ave. but it was closed, but Luna was great...Delicious and festive. One night we ate at the Cheesecake Factory which is only a short drive from the resort--it's one of my fave restaurants, so was glad to see one there. There is such beauty in old Naples. Very upscale, without being snobbish. We also hit the Miromar outlets one day-don't miss it, it's huge and alot of fun. I didn't see great bargains, but if you hunt enough you'll come away with a few. It takes pretty much the day and very pleasant. By all means, consider Naples Bay Resort. We had a one bedroom suite that had two bathrooms, a full kitchen with dining area, full size appliances and having a washer and dryer was very convenient. A great balcony afforded us the opportunity to sit on a lounge chair and sip a glass of wine after a long day. You will not be disappointed with this resort. Angie, Robin, and the lovely blonde concierge, thank you for the attentive service. Everyone there is friendly and accommodating and if i missed your name at the front desk, forgive me, because every one of the staff was sweet and helpful. We will look forward to coming back, but for a longer stay next time. By the way, do yourself a favor and take the Trolley tour. You will get a 2+ hour tour and see more territory than you will from your rental car and the opportunity to return to some of the places that interested you.

We stayed at The Naples Bay Resort as part of our honeymoon and it was our favourite part! The hotel is very tastefully decorated and immaculately clean and the staff really do look after you and make you feel at home.
We were very impressed with a few little extras we weren't expecting such as the complimentary continental breakfast for hotel guests, complimentary beach towels and chairs and also the fantastic shuttle service to the resort and the beach (only 5 mins).
Another great bonus was that the restaurant at the hotel, Olio's, really was excellent and if you were staying in the hotel you could get it delivered to your door - fantastic!
The Club was also very nice with two lovely pools, lazy river, couple of hot tubs and what looked to be a lovely spa. Again the staff here were very friendly and the food at the poolside grill was great.
To be honest I'm struggling to find a fault with the resort, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel we had a very nice relaxing time here and we hope to go again soon!

If you are a boater beware...

1. there is no cable hook-up (tv)..although there is a "boaters lounge" - no bar, etc. but a tv in the "lounge".
2. there are no places to buy smokes on the property you have to call a taxi....they will not shuttle you..
3. the main pool is on another property...watch out for the cars when you are trying to cross the busy road
4. the lunch restaurant is on the other property and only outside
5. the "other property" is surrounded by condos, not part of hotel
6. if you want to check out the work-out facility be sure not to ware flip-flops or they will yell at you
7. be sure to ask for a key card when you first see the dock master because they will not automatically give you one
8. even if they give you a key card it might not work - 2 of mine didn't
9. the marina is surrounded by the hotel and shops...but most of the shops are not open or empty...at day it's a ghost town
10. the two night restaurants are open to the general public
11. because the marina is surrounded by the shops and hotel there is no breeze...the a/c's are really pumping out...i draw 3'6" and my depth finder says 4' that could also be a reason.

You think with today's economy that these places would be bending over backward to serve you...ha

From the minute that I pulled up to Naples Bay Resort and Spa, I was amazed by the service that I recieved. From the valet to the Front Desk staff, they made me feel as if my girlfriend and I were the only people in the hotel. The restaurant on site was phenomenal, and the room was top rate. One of the largest bathrooms I have ever seen in a hotel room! The only thing I would improve about the property is that I wish it were closer to the beach, but the service and knowledge of the area from the staff more than made up for it. I will be coming back to this property. I recommend it to anyone looking for peace and relaxation.

Quiet, comfort, luxury and fun- they've got it all! Even kayaks! Super service, an amazing spa, swimming pools (even one for adults only), waterfalls and a lazy river with innertubes- the tiki bar had a really good turkey burger and drinks that were just right. Water taxi or ground shuttle takes you where you need to go. We went for a weekend getaway, just two days, and felt like we'd been gone a week. We've returned totally relaxed and pampered.
