We just got back from our first trip to Napls Bay Resort and it was just fantastic. Our room was incredible. We had a great view. The room was clean. There were no kids by the hotel's pool. When you go to the other three pools you will find the families. The staff were very helpful. We wll be going back for sure!!

We stayed for 4 night in Naples Bay and everything was just wonderful! We had a beautiful room with a view on a marina with amazing boats and colourful villas around. The room was always clean, the staff was very attentive and helpful. We had quite a crazy few days before Naples so really appreciated the quiet but huge hotel with all the facilities available there.
The swimming pool area was 5 min walk away from the hotel main building and had a car park if you didn't want to walk. The pool bar prices were okay so you could have lunch and drinks right there.
There was a free shuttle bus to the beach which we never used as we had a car and wanted more freedom. The car parks at the beach are 25 cents for 10 min so make sure you have plenty of quarters with you.
Overall, a great stay in a beautiful hotel. 5 stars from me!

Dear LilliaF,

Thank you for your review of the Naples Bay Resort. We know there are many choices of places to stay in Naples so we thank you for choosing us. The view of the marina, boats and villas is very inspiring and so glad that it was nice and relaxing for you. The complimentary shuttle is available to take you not only to the beach, but will deliver you to Fifth Avenue for shopping or dining as well. Again, thank you for staying with us and we hope to see you again.

This was our second visit to NBR. While-again- our room was nice ( had a 2- bedroom facing marina) and staff was helpful and pleasant, we were disappointed in pool experience.

Both times we have visited, the pool area has been taken over by children of all ages running, screaming and jumping. As I read in one review- it's a shame pool rules aren't enforced. For example, large signs are posted for the lazy river rules ( no jumping, no running, no children under ten unattended) yet all of these things occurred to such a ridiculous extent that our family couldn't enjoy the facility. Children were jumping in all around us, swimming under us, holding onto our rafts, etc. On our first visit, children jumped in and out of the adult pool ( which is located directly next to playground). It is a shame since a quiet pool experience is what we were hoping for... Other families may not mind the chaos but I felt it was unsafe and wish the hotel staffed and monitored the pool better. We did see a staff member speaking to the children who were jumping in and out of the adult pool but they ignored him and it continued.

I do have to say that the facility is very clean and well-maintained. Our room-both times- was spotless.

We enjoyed the breakfast at the yacht club and got it again the second time. I wish we had been informed ahead of time of the 18% added gratuity for the breakfast buffet since we tipped well each morning. We didn't know until seeing the charge on the bill at the end of our visit (plus, 18% for a buffet?). We tried to check our bill on the tv but it continuously said it was unavailable.

Not sure if we will be back for a third visit due to negative pool experiences both times. The idea of an adult pool doesn't work when kids are allowed to run wild through the area and even the family pool was too chaotic for my children.

Room Tip: Ask for marina view and top floor

The staff was top notch from the reservation to the check out. Any concerns we had were resolved immediately and exceeded our expectations. We rented a boat each day and the marina was very accomodating to our needs. The resort was extremely clean and felt like we had our own private apartment on the river. This is a second stay for our family and we plan on visiting again hopefully very soon!

Dear Maria B,

Our repeat guests are extremely important to us and we want to thank you for staying with us again. Our boats are definitely the best in the area and we are glad you got to enjoy some time out on Naples Bay and surrounding waters - we truly are in paradise here. Do come back and take advantage of our other water amenities from kayak's to paddle boards - we have it all!

Nice resort.I loved the pools,lazy river,Jacuzzi.
The people who work here are not that nice but the place is.The sauna and steam room OMG very nice and we had good time in there.Everything was so clean well maintained. The GYM was fun so many machines you could sleep in there. Our suite was spacious and clean overlooked the marina. The only downside is walking from our suite to the club in the night crossing that unlit park.It was creepy as there were some random people hanging there.Be careful ladies do not walk alone after dark otherwise you will enjoy this place. The restaurant is always booked you are better off driving to town some place for your meals or better yet cook in your kitchen.Downtown area has nice restaurants and big retirement community so majority of the people will be elegant dressed rich old folks.

Dar Msafiri D,

We are pleased that you enjoyed our suites, pool, gym equipment and lazy river, but concerned that your perception was that our staff was not friendly. As you can see from other reviews, that is where we typically score the highest. I apologize we didn't meet your expectations. We will certainly review your comments with our team and hope that you will give us another chance to see the true level of service we can provide.

We just returned from a 3 day/2night stay at this resort. This is a relatively large resort and it is it's clean, well kept grounds. The amenities are not on the actual resort side. You can hike over in the heat or you can drive, or have the valet shuttle take you. We drove, it was easier than waiting for the shuttle which I think they said was every 20 minutes. The lazy river is small but fun for small kids. The pool (family) is a zero entry, with max of 5ft depth which again, is nice for kids. There are adult only pools and hot tubs, but these are back to back with the family area, so be advised that you will hear the kids and see them running around while they have fun, The resort has done a great job at having waterfalls to try to minimize the noise but it is all in the same area. There is a nice fitness area with a steam room and sauna, and very clean showers (we used them on our last day) Pool side food was fine, nothing fancy but gets the job avoiding having to leave to get food. No coolers or outside food is allowed at the pool. There is an onsite Bonefish grill but we did not try as this is a common restaurant in our town. This resort is very close to Tin City and the famous Fifth Ave. This resort is not on the beach, you can either drive yourself there and self park (meter parking)or go on the shuttle the resort provides. We drove as the shuttle only travels every two hours. The resort will pack your car for you with beach chairs (nice Tommy Bahama chairs) and a standard beach umbrella. Towels: Upon check in, you will receive towel cards which give you two towels per guest. Had I known, I would have brought my own towels, these towels are very worn and faded and could use replacing. You check out the towels by turning in your card which has all your info on it, then when you return the towels you get the card back. Upon check out, cards must be returned or there is a fee for the cards.
The unit itself (#218 and 220): we had a two bedroom suite which essentially is a one bedroom suite and a regular room with a connecting door which they prop open for you. The one bedroom suite side has a nice full size kitchen(pots/pans, plates, toaster, microwave, stove, fridge, etc), living area (no sleeper sofa), a dining area, a private room with a queen size bed. The bathroom is unique, it features multiple doors dividing a regular tub (not jacuzzi) a sink/vanity, a toilet, a shower and washer/dryer (BONUS) and also another toilet, vanity/sink area. The add on bedroom is a king size bed, a wet bar area (coffee maker, mini fridge and sink) and a bathroom which features a shower, regular tub(again, non jacuzzi) a sink/vanity and toilet. There is daily service on this side of the resort and they do a good job of keeping the rooms clean, The bathrooms smelled faintly of bleach which I like because I saw no mildew and felt like it was disinfected properly.
The one negative about the rooms was that they are half tile, half carpet. The carpets are a dirty and I would have much preferred tile throughout but keeping in mind that these units are independently owned and the resort just manages them, they really can't replace the carpets.
All in all: My room rate was expensive but it is comparable to any resort which gives you so much room and the kitchen if you plan on using one (we didn't cook, only made coffee and toasted bagels). The resort fee is high but this is becoming a standard amongst resorts. My biggest issues were the dirty carpets and the worn out towels. The front desk staff (Erin and Courtney) were extremely nice, and the valet (didn't get his name) was very attentive in loading our car with the beach gear. The kids loved the lazy river (kind of small for grown ups) and there is a ton of lounge chairs and umbrellas by the pool.

Been to Florida on several occasions and this has to be the best quality villa type accomodation we have stayed in. A very high quality of furnishing and extremely clean. The Spa area, we only used the pools and jacuzzis, was ideal for a family of 4 and the adult only area was a real treat to escape to. Definitely consider returning. Only downside is unexpected spa cost we had not budgetted for.

Our cottages are indeed superb for a family holiday and we are so glad that you enjoyed them. They are definitely spacious and you can select from either a two bedroom or three bedroom, all with the high quality furnishings you mentioned, for your next stay.
