Our Chamber of Commerce had a dinner at this fine restaurant. The large restaurant was filled. We were situated in a semi-private room, but it was still very loud. This made it difficult to communicate. The service was excellent - they must have filled my water glass 10 times, even though it was not empty. They brought several excellent appetizers, brochette, and calamari. For our group we had four choices, chicken, grouper, salmon, and filet. Both the seafood dishes were very hot and spicy. Deserts were very good also. Everyone at the table agreed that it was a good dinner.

Third time I have visited this restaurant in the heart of downtown Naples on Fifth Avenue South. It is very convenient for parking (valet) and open and spacious to the views and people on the Avenue.

We arrived a bit early and were greeted by a very friendly hostess and taken to the table we had requested. Service was excellent and always there when we needed them or had a question.

While this restaurant is not inexpensive, the quality and selection of their seafood is top notch and worth the prices that they charge. My wife had the king crab legs and I had the Maine lobster tail, both of which were excellent. We split a beefsteak tomato salad with buttermilk ranch dressing and bacon which was over the top. As a side we each had the asparagus with bearnaise sauce which had jalapeno peppers in it which was a surprise and something they should have advised upon ordering.

Overall, a great place for dinner with excellent quality of service and food.

Truluck's is a beautiful restaurant in downtown Naples. We took in a group of 8 on a short notice reservation and they graciously accommodated us in the bar area. They had a piano bar which was a nice background without being too loud. The food was very good, but the prices are very high and everything is a la carte. A 7 ounce filet was $36.00 for the steak and parmesan mashed potatoes (also a nice bread basket). The steak was excellent, but my potatoes were very salty and others in our group complained they were too garlicky.

I don't mind paying for a good meal, bu how about adding a nice house salad and/or a vegetable with the price and balancing the nutrition a bit.

The location is in a high rent district in the exclusive downtown Naples area, so if you want to run with the jet setters, you must pay.

Trulucks is one of the best restaurants in Naples. Outstanding food, great services and absolutely the best happy hour in town. We come from Marco Island each visit as we are never disappointed here. Manager and staff are attentive and friendly - we love this place!

We were SO looking forward to our dinner here as we had heard nothing but praises about Truluck's. The evening proved to be a comedy of errors...........but all were pretty much corrected by the management.

First, we were led by a manager to a table in a back room..........next to a table that was prepared for 10-12 people. I questioned him immediately as to the noise level of our dining experience. He said that we should be fine, but if not, he would take care of it.

We started our meal with a drink and then my spouse ordered Shrimp Cocktail as an appetizer. It was quite tasty, but someone in the kitchen must have taken a break when cleaning shrimp that night as there were still many shells enveloping the shrimp. We conveyed our disappointment to our server...........and then the issue of the large table reared its ugly head too.

It turned out to be what I originally thought it was............a pharmaceutical group that was having dinner and then doing a presentation. GREAT timing, however..........the manager who had seated us came to check on us..........we asked to move to another table & informed him of the shrimp issue.

We were moved to another table immediately......much more quiet and intimate.

We both ordered steak, as that is the specialty of Truluck's. Mine arrived too overdone and my spouse's was too rare. At this point, we were looking at each other & saying "What the heck is going on here?" I'm happy to say that we were both VERY pleased with our steaks the second time around.

Kudos to Truluck's...........they really attempted to turn our bad experience into a better one. They did not charge us for the shrimp cocktail; in addition, they offered us a complimentary dessert. The piece of carrot cake that we took "to go" lasted us for 3 days.........HUGE and delicious.

I also received a phone call the day after our dinner, thanking us for dining with them

A botched evening? Definitely so, but Truluck's made an attempt to correct all the issues that we had, so we will definitely try to return for a future visit.
