Description: Welcome to Our Innovative Persian Bistro This elegant bistro stands slightly different than a classic Persian restaurant. It takes pride in offering innovative dishes as well as classics inspired by the cuisine of Iran A Non-Arab country in the Middle East. Kabobs are served with grilled vegetables and aromatic basmati rice. Khoreshes are slow cooked and elegantly braised; some with savory and others with fruity sauces. Executive Chef Michael Mir is continually in search of techniques and styles to fuse the ancient food of The Persian Empire into modern and attractive nouveau offerings. Dishes are not meant to be hot or overwhelmingly spicy, yet are intense in the subtleties of flavors. Accents of wonderful spices reminiscent of the Silk Road are combined with fresh Florida ingredients in a perfect union. All natural, hormone free and domestic meats, fresh fish and farm fresh produce are trimmed and dressed in OUR kitchen daily. Sauces and stocks are made IN HOUSE by our talented team. All of our signature desserts are created here at Bha! Bha!. Some are infused with the heavenly scent of cardamom and rose water. Bha! Bha! was established in 1997 by Chef Michael Mir. He has twice presented his cuisine at The James Beard House. After its 15 years of successful operation in North Naples, Michael and Miguel Martinez moved Bha! Bha! to its current home here on Cosmopolitan Fifth Avenue. In its 20 years, Bha! Bha! has consistently received notable local and national accolades.

We had last visited Bha Bha's several years ago when it used to be in a strip mall on the outskirts of Naples. We thought we would try it again at its current location on Fifth Ave. The decor is now much more upscale, and the prices have increased. However, our dinner was outstanding, particularly the two specials: rack of lamb and the stuffed bronzini fish (European sea bass). Service was very polished. Everyone agreed that this was on of the best meals they had ever had in Naples.

We selected this establishment just to try something different. We chose to eat outside right on 5th Avenue on a perfect evening. I would give them 6 stars for ambience if I could. We started with hummus which was made delicious with the addition of very high quailty olive oil. We then shared a mixed grill kabbob dish and a braised lamb shank that fell off the bone. Both were succulent and unforgettable. We will return.

Well, comparatively rare in Naples at least, because it is a Persian restaurant. Do not be put off, read on---

This is the kind of cuisine you find in a huge arc of territory stretching from Greece in the west around through Turkey, Iran itself and down into Palestine. But the Persian variety is finer and less spicy than some of the others. They use lots of herbs and the focus is on lamb, frequently accompanied by rice; they do limited fish too and my wife tried the shrimp and found it delightful. Kebabs and Mezes are a big feature but I did not this time try them. The yoghurt with cucumber starter is like a turkish tzaziki but without the garlic and onions and was just beautifully presented with pitta type bread, a wonderful starter.

I mention in passing that the cocktails were a bit on the weak side and they do not offer any aniseed drink such as Raki, Ouzo, Ricard, to give examples, which would go very well with this kind of food rather than wine, although that worked too. I made a suggestion through the waiter that they offer something like this because it would enhance what is a good dining experience.

The early starter menu at $15 plus a glass of reasonable wine has to be one of the star bargains for early evening dining and is excellent value for quality food.

The restaurant is a bistro with outside tables too; inside it is long and narrow, but the furnishings are crisp, clean and unfussy with welcome table cloths to add a touch of class.

Seating is a bit close and we had the misfortune to have three very nearby people who each spent 90% of the evening conversing on their mobiles at a high decibel level. That is not the fault of the restaurant, but could we, through Trip Advisor, start a campaign for restaurants to have 'mobile free areas'? Bad manners is surely defined as spoiling someone else's enjoyment through your own boorish, selfish intrusive behaviour and who wants to be an intimate party to the boring details of someone else's life? These people seemed nice folks, they just were totally unaware of how upsetting their addiction was for other diners. Other than that, the ambient noise levels was quite good for a bistro.

In summary this is a different and very pleasant low cost high quality dining experience. Try it, I think you will not be disappointed.

We enjoyed an appetizer of hummus and two small plates of different lamb dishes. We've eaten at Bha! Bha! numerous times, and the uniqueness of their food never disappoints us. The items are fresh and well (but not overly) seasoned, and the service is respectful. The wine selections pair nicely with the menu. We sat outside on the east side, in the shade, in the late afternoon / early evening, which was cooler than out front. Love to people watch in between bites.

I was lucky to be able to spend Halloween night on 5th Ave in Naples AND at the new Bha Bha location!!! When I lived in Naples years ago, Bha Bha was my most favorite place to eat or entertain out of town guests. I finally was able to experience the same (if not better) quality of food in a whole new atmosphere in downtown Naples. As popular as the place is (especially during the Halloween Parade) they were able to seat us almost immediately and provided an amazing prompt service. We were a group of five and all from the hospitality industry so we are perfectionists.... but Bha Bha was able to satisfy our EVERY need and desire. Beyond the obvious fabulous service, friendly staff and awesome ambience ....let’s talk about the most important part of an unforgettable experience.... the FOOD!!!! It is absolutely to die for.... figure licking, (sometimes plate licking) out of this world. Perfection compared to any culinary cuisine EVER. Okay so I am Persian so you might think I am not as objective because of my heritage but on the contrary we tend to expect more because we are accustomed to the BEST home cooked meals. And I can you that I would not be afraid to take my mother to Bha Bha - It is Persian Mother approved type of quality :-))) Job well done you guys and for anyone out there who has not tried it ... BOY you guys are missing out!!!
