Started the night out right by getting lucky with a parking spot right at the door. We were immediately greeted by a cheerful host and were seated right away. The food was fresh and well prepared. The Margaritas hit the spot. The service was excellent. The food is a little pricey but runs true to form for the Marco Island area. I will return!

This restaurant is on the Isles of Capri (near Marco Island) an easy half hour drive south of Naples. It is right on the water with a tiki-hut dining room, an indoor dining room and dining on the sand -- something for everyone. The food was very good -- we had seafood chowder and fried oysters -- fresh and tasty. There was a fair sized crowd at sunset. The waiters are most personable and attentive. There is a small issue of parking so you may have to walk a bit if you are not lucky. It is similar to the Dock restaurant in Naples but less up-scale. So, it is a nice place to go if you are in the area.

Over priced, average (or below average) food. Beer & wine only. Sort of on the seedy side. The night we went there were so many bugs, you couldn't eat @ the beach tables or the chickie hut and the inside dining area is just tacky. The food was pretty close to awful and the service was just a little bit better. I had the coconut battered shrimp, which was deep fried and served with an iceberg lettuce salad, "twice fried potato" (mashed potato piped out of a pastry bag and put under the broiler) and what must have been a microwaved frozen vegetable medley that was both cold and undercooked. But hey, the rolls were good!

I have no idea why this is such a popular place, unless they have great early-bird specials. By 8:30 the place was pretty much empty, When we got there around 7 the chickie hut was full and there was only 1 couple inside. When we left @ 8:30 there was one party in the hut, some poor soul singing and playing the keyboard and the parking lot was virtually empty.

Don't bother to go there, at least @ night. Maybe the scenery during the day helps to take your mind off of the awful food, way too casual service and high prices. Don't know for sure, but I do know I'm not going to find out.

Love the chickie hut and live music. Food is a B and is pricey. So blend the 2 together, add friends and you won't be sorry. We have been visiting for many years and frankly, this place is looking a little tired. Go at night so you can't see the "patina" I'm talking about. :)

Sitting in a grass covered, screen enclosed veranda, overlooking a beautiful bay, I can't imagine being in a hurry to eat - and this is a place where it is best not to be in a hurry. Of our party of four, three had the basil tomato soup, with huge chunks of tomato. The soup eaters also ordered hamburgers and fries. All enjoyed their meals. I had a "goupen", a Reuben with grouper instead of corned beef. It, and the sweet potato fries, were excellent. We each had beer. The tab came to nearly $90.00 - so cheap is not this restaurant. But, remember, this is Naples/Marco Island - not names that are associated with "cheap".
However, the atmosphere is wonderful. This is one of those places I liked instantly, having gone there the first time a couple of days ago to rent a kayak. Don't expect fast service, and if you like to have the wait staff hover over you ready to grant your every wish, drive by. But, we enjoyed it. I hope you do too.
