Having lived seasonally in this area for the last ten years, we have, in recent years, been reluctant to order grouper as we're never sure of what we will be served. We heard about this restaurant from friends and went there for the first time this week. The grouper was excellent. It is served a variety of ways; blackened, sauteed, broiled or fried. Our group got the blackened (mine, lightly) and it was seasoned perfectly. The basket includes french fries (very good) and coleslaw, also very good. There are a variety of grouper plates, so something for everyone. Their chowder soup and key lime pie is very good, according to the couple we were with who have been coming to this restaurant for several years.
This is a very small, sidewalk cafe, perhaps 7 or 8 tables inside and 4 or 5 on the sidewalk in front. We arrived just before 11:30 (opening time) and there were already a few people waiting. There is limited seating considering the popularity of the restaurant, so arrive early or expect to have a bit of a wait for seating.
Service is very efficient and the prices are reasonable, considering what you get. We will definitely return.
