“The stone crabs are "Oh So Deeelightful"”
Reviewed December 2, 2013

If you are an old hat at eating stone crabs than you know they are not good every place you go. Some places keep their crab on hand too long and they are not fresh. Other places will freeze their crab try to extend the shelf life which in both cases will result in a mushy tasting and fishy smelling stone crab.

Joes Stone Crab Restaurant in Miami sets the bar and they are always good but you need to spend a weeks pay just to enjoy them. At Captain Kirks this little hidden gem is a crabbers dream come true. Its more of a fresh fish market and not a restaurant however they do have a few tables out front on the side walk where you can enjoy anything they sell inside from fresh fish and crab to their daily homemade specials.

But its the stone crabs I love the most. I went there for lunch solo and ordered 4 large stone crabs with mustard sauce and a Coke. My tab for lunch was a mere $20.00. That's right folk for 20 bucks I ate crab like a king and got to watch all the pretty girl walking bye as I was eating them. Top that Joes! Seriously though the crab was every bit as fresh as Joe's or Truluck's for that matter and I still had money left over to back for dinner and eat crabs again. The mustard sauce was very good as well. They offered small, medium, and large crab that day. 4 crabs at Trulucks is $120.00 so was I was $100.00 ahead of the game. If you are a true stone crab lover and your only goal is to eat fresh great tasting crab and break the bank while doing it than I suggest you stop in at Captain Kirks and get a mess of crab and a beer and eat your heart out!

“Love the grouper sandwich”
Reviewed November 11, 2013 via mobile

My favorite place for grouper sandwich. Yum yum yum!! Cole slaw is great also. Just wish they were open on Sunday for the concerts across the street at Cambier Park. No real atmosphere. Fun staff.

“The Best Norwegian Salmon - Ever!”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

This small, very casual, fish market is a hidden gem.
Mostly take out with a few tables, food is served on disposable plastic.
Friendly staff that is passionate about their food and service.
FLEXIBLE - Just ask and they will accommodate.
They recommended the grilled Norwegian Salmon over all of their other fresh, local fish.
Absolutely the best I've ever tasted.
Unfortunately I was only visiting - if not, I would be a regular.
Highly recommended.

“Wow what a fish sandwich.”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

In Naples for the weekend and we saw the reviews on tripadvisor so we went for lunch, and we had the freshest and tastiest blackened grouper sandwiches ever, it comes with cole slaw and is $14.95 but worth every penny. We also had a shirmp and black bean chowder, which was good. They have other items on the menu, but didn't really read it, we went for the sandwich. The place is a fish market and has a couple of tables inside and out front. The staff is very friendly.
