“Pricey, small portions, not impressed”
Reviewed December 30, 2013

The staff was very nice, we got there and there was no one there on a Friday at 7:30 PM. I should have gone with my instincts and bailed when all the other restaurants in that plaza were full and this one was empty. We decided to sit down and give it a try anyway and were not very impressed. The prices were high and the portions were small. The mozzarellla in the caprese salad was not fresh mozzarella. It was dry and rubbery like what you buy at the a wholesale club in bulk. We ordered their two most popular dishes as per the owner and chef. The mongolian beef and the rizzotto. Both were overly sweet. Mongolian beef is served over a bed of vegetables and brown rice which takes any crisp out of the beef and it was overly sweet. The rizzotto was also sweet. Since when is rizotto sweet? and the portion was like an appetizer and for $22 I expect more. I commented to the chef when he came out that both dishes were on the sweet side and he handed me a bottle of teriaki sauce and a bottle of hot sauce to "give it more of a tart taste" he said. Come on man!! give me a break. We won't be back.

“Excellent dining experience”
Reviewed December 24, 2013

We have dined at the Cgrape several times. We are greeted by the owner-chef, Mai, who remembers us and makes us feel like family. The cuisine is continental with Asian influences, an imaginative blend of the best of both worlds. It is like a small, family run bistro you'd find in Europe. The service is very attentive and friendly. As the restaurant is quite small, you get the attention to detail and quality that you do not get in a large establishment. It is like dining as a guest in the home of an excellent cook. Cgrape is a wonderful choice for a memorable dining experience.

“Great locals place!”
Reviewed December 21, 2013 via mobile

We used a groupon to discover CGrape, and it was a nice discovery! The prices are reasonable, the servings are the right size and the food quality was very good. The gluten free chocolate cake rapidly disappeared, as did the seafood Risotto. We wish there was more umami in the offerings, as some of the menu items were rather bland in taste. We do appreciate the fact that they cook low sodium healthy offerings. (It goes with the neighborhood where they are located ). Worth a rerun!

“disappointed”
Reviewed December 1, 2013

As soon as the manager found out that we had a Groupon, he said that we were limited in our choice of main course unless we pay $5 extra. That was unpleasant.Food was average, decor very good, service very friendly. I had chicken with coconut curry ordered spicy but was anything but. My wife's snapper was okay.
