This is a really beautiful property located next to the Waldorf Astoria. The first thing you do is pay $8 per car to park. Then there is a 1/4 mile boardwalk through a natural area with all different types of mangrove trees. You can either walk or ride an oversized golf cart to the beach. If you ask, your driver will give you a very interesting talk on the nature area (a small tip is appropriate). When you get to the beach area, there is a nice restaurant and clean restrooms. You can bring your own equipment to the beach, but there is also a place where you can rent a variety of beach chairs, lounges and umbrellas. They are not cheap, but they really do add to the enjoyment of the beach and ocean. The crowd is a little older with many family groups. An altogether beautiful, relaxing and fun afternoon if you are willing to pay a little for the pleasure.

This was nice morning walk to the beach. It took us good 20 min walk to the beach and nice soothing ride back to the parking for approx 8-10 min. Only one small shop was open on this beach. Public bathroom and shower were available. Clear blue sky with the calm beach during the day, and the color of the sunset was amazingly passionate!

This is a great walk through the marsh area to the beach. It must be 3/4 mile long, 20 feet wide. Absolutely beautiful. There is a tram from the Waldorf if the walk is too long or you have too much beach gear. Not to be missed!

Years ago Clam Pass was one of our favorite places to go but not anymore. We were bitten by sand fleas while there, brought them home on our shoes and had to have our condo fumigated as they got in the carpeting, bedding and furniture. 4 other people just came back from a walk there yesterday and also were bitten.

I ran down to the beach every day via the boardwalk. My understanding is that this was built, and is maintained, by Collier County. Congratulations to them!
