Naples has beautiful beaches and Clam Pass is one more example. Parking can be a problem so get their early. Children will love the trolley ride to the beach.

I did like the beach. We chose to walk down the boardwalk instead of waiting for the golf cart trolley, and witnessed a pedestrian get his foot run over by the golf cart! The driver did stop to make sure the man was okay, but the man's ankle was instantly bruised and swollen! So just be careful if you choose to walk. The beach was very crowded, but it was Labor Day weekend that we were there, so that wasn't a surprise. The water was warm, calm, and just about perfect.

the boardwalk is about 1 mile of mangrove beauty to walk or take the trolley, which is free even if you are not a hotel guest. The drinks and nosh beach bar at the end of the boardwalk is great and the beach is clean and perfect for a stroll or day at the beach.

Worth the drive and parking fee ($8 for the day) our second favourite Naples beach area (after the pier). Park and wait for the shuttle bus (golf carts) to take you down the near mile long boardwalk, or walk if you're feeling very fit! Nice clean beach, great concession selling drinks and food, decent restrooms, and showers off the beach for cleaning up. Kayaks, cabanas, sunbeds all for rent from the Waldorf Astoria concession. Went two times, saw a mantee just yards off the beach each time, and my daughter and I got to within 10 feet swimming alongside. Too Cool :-)

Be ready to take a boardwalk to the beach that runs through a mangrove forest. It has a tidal bay area where you'll see marine life and wildlife, featuring many species of birds The beach itself is soft and easy on the feet with a beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico. This is a perfect place to experience nature and spend a relaxing day without a lot of distractions.
